The following day was no better for Levi. He down right refused to talk to any of them. He wanted answers, but he want a heart felt apology for his girlfriend more. He would be damned to give in before they show any ounce of respect towards his love.

He was stubborn.

"Dude chill, Drew doesn't seemed fazed by it" Landon tried to reason with the kid who only flared at his paper.

"Maybe not, but I gave them a chance" Levi began, "and they had the audacity to pull a stunt like this- sure she might be over it, but as her boyfriend and a caring friend I won't let something like this slide. I love you guys." He explained to his brown haired friend who could only frown in disappointment. He understood where his friend was coming from, but there was so much at stake here. They finally have a lead yet, they're blowing it.

"Okay" Landon started, "maybe we could talk to Xavier- he didn't really do anything." Levi stayed quiet. Landon was right, that kid didn't really do anything- if anything, he tried to help the situation a bit.

"Fine" Levi said, "I'll talk to him." Landon smiles as he finally got a break through. It wasn't easy, but it was necessary.

"Alright buddy, I'm trusting ya" with that, the bell rang.

The day ended rather quickly and the hoard of teens spilled out of the building. Levi noticed Xavier walking away from his locker, this was his chance.

Quickly; Levi made his way towards the black haired boy who was oblivious to the approaching green eyed kid until he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Raising an eyebrow, he looked over to find Levi staring at him coldly.

"We need to talk."

Simple, yet affective, phrase that made the boy sigh a bit. Of course he would be willing to talk, he wanted information too.

"Alright Mr. Woods. Let's talk—"

"—Don't call me that, follow me" with that being said, the boys made their way somewhere that's more private. It didn't take long for them to be faced to faced alone.

Arms crossed, Xavier was waiting patiently for his acquaintance to say something- he had places to be.

"You and I don't like each other, let's get that straight" Levi began, "you know something about my birth mother and father, tell me everything you know." Xavier chuckled upon hearing this, it was absolutely pathetic.

"Why should I? What do I gain?" Xavier asked as Levi sat his bag pack down as it seems this conversation might take a while.

"I'll tell you things" Levi countered back only for Xavier to snort. This was a terrible bargain.

"What you know and what I know are not good deals, in fact I'd say the information I know could make or break you if leaked to the right person."

Was he threatening Levi?

"What the hell do you want?" Levi asked, could this kid really ruin his life? He just got here! It's impossible, right?

"What I want is something I can't have" his eyes looking towards the sky, his mind filling with memories of the unknown.

"It's too late to get what I want, it's gone" he looked over towards Levi who only watched in curiosity.

"Did you love my mother?" Levi suddenly asked as Xavier lips ghosted into a small, sorrowful smile.

"I did" he admitted, "as did others" Xavier sat down on the grass, kids still walked but it was quiet for the most part.

"Your mother was an extraordinary women." Xavier mumbled as Levi took a seat next to him. "She was sweet, caring, hot tempered, and overall great person despite her always saying otherwise." Xavier took a glance towards Levi who only sat quietly, waiting for him to continue.

"You know, you remind me of her. She loved her friends dearly, she loved them to the point she would lay her life down for them- which unfortunately had to happen a few times." he grimaced at the memories.

"She helped me more than you know- than she could ever know. She saved me, even when I was at my lowest state and what did she get in return for her good deeds?" He paused, "she was murdered, all because she helped others"

"Your mother, Levi. She would have lived if she didn't help others, if she just stayed away from everyone, if she just joined in what society is she would have lived but" he paused, a tear falling down his face. "She wanted to be different, you'll see all these people on TV, these famous artist and other things- you know what they have in common other then money and fame?" Levi didn't say anything, "they have a big huge target on them- whether it's good or bad, it's still a target"

"These people getting shot, famous people. They have targets on them- they were good people too. But, because society is so fucked up they want to erase the good to bring in more bad. Your mother wanted to be different from society. She helped people, she fought people, she stood up against people, she loved people, and she laid down her life for people and you know what happens to good people that try to do good thing?"

He looked at Levi.

"They die"

"Look at history, look at John Lawrence. The man was against slavery, helped fight against the British troops to ensure our independence and you know what happened to him? Killed."

Xavier relaxed a bit and looked back at the sky, easing his mind.

"Your mother was no different then famous people- or any one for that matter. But, she stood out in a good. Unfortunately, in this world standing out in a good way gets you killed" he looked over towards Levi, "I suggest you stay hidden, learn from your mothers mistake."

Before Levi could say anything Xavier was already up and walking away.

Levi looked up at the sky, a tear falling from his eyes.

"You were a good person mom, never forget that"
