Chapter 22: he's gone?
The monitor goes flat
Rikki: crying into her hands still holding Ryland's
Rydel and stormie attempt to comfort her
Ross: "this can't be happening."
Riker: cries into Vanessa's shoulder
Vanessa: let's a few tears drop as her head lays above riker's
Mark: crying "honey?"
They all look at him ...except Rikki
Stormie: "yes?"
Mark: sniffs "he was our last" he breaks down
Stormie looks at rydel
Rydel: nods her head understanding
Stormie goes over to mark and hugs him as he cries and she joins in
Rydel: "Rikki? Look at me."
She looks up but not at rydel....at ryland
(Crying) "why him? IT SHOULDVE BEEN ME"
Ross runs over to her.
Ross: "Rikki look at me. (He whispers)"
She continues to looks at ryland
Ross: (he speaks more sternly)
"RIKKI LOOK AT ME"
She jumps a little as she slowly turns her head to face him
Ross: "Don't you ever say it should've been you. (Sighs)
Especially not when it's my fault.
If I hadn't said yes to Tessa, she wouldn't have come back.
If she hadn't come back, laura and I would still be together.
If we were still together, she wouldn't have drove away.
If she hadn't drove away, ryland would've never had to go after her.
If he hadn't gone after her, he wouldn't be....."
"gone"

For the past few minutes they've just been crying and attempting to comfort each other.
"Rikki?"
