Chapter 60: not we

"Plane tickets?" I ask
Laura takes in a deep breath. She must've been relieved it wasn't Aaron in person.
"Yeah. He wants us there soon."
"And driving would take like three days, while flying would only take six hours" riker says
"When are we leaving?" I ask
"Not we." Nada says
"Huh?" We all utter
"ELEVEN tickets. Stormie, Mark, Riker, Rydel, Rocky, Ross, Ryland, Ellington, Vanessa, Laura, Faith" Nadeen says as she mentally counts
"Then why'd he need you?" Ryland asks
"Because, we knew where the restaurant was...by heart, we knew where to check in the restaurant, and do you really think my dad was just going to hand you the keys when he's never even met you" nada says
"Well I mean you would think he would know them." Faith says
"Faith, that's kinda shallow" I say
"It's only shallow if it's about me or if you agree, and obviously you don't SOOO..."
"Gosh, someone's cranky today." Riker states
"Yeah, calm down" rocky continues
"My two best friends have been kidnapped by a guy who I thought was our friend, loves one of them, pretended to love another one of them, kidnapped laura, raped two girls, cut Rikki's arm, wrote words on a car window in blood, covered a room in blood, had 'it' with Vanessa, caused a dent in Rinessa's relationship, and is now making us travel across the country. DONT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!!!" Faith yells
"I-I'm sorry" they both stutter
She turns around, grabs the tickets, and walks out.
"ARE YOU COMING OR WHAT?!" She yells from the hallway
We jump at her scream. We say bye to Nada and Nadeen, and go to the car.
Faith hands Mom and Dad the tickets.
"Okay then guys, we're heading home." Mom says
"After, we pack all our things." Dad interrupts
"Oh, right." Mom says laughing at herself
It's nice knowing we can find something to make us smile, even were going through the hardest times.
