Chapter 23: Can we go back?

Ross: (sighs) "laura....I-I...I can't....Rikki I can't do this...."

Rikki: "yes you can ross" she says sitting down next to laura "she needs you too"

Ross: "no...I don't even know what to say. I love her but..." He lays his head on Rikki's lap "I don't want to hurt her"

Rikki: strokes his hair "ross?"

Ross: sighs laying his head face down on Rikki's leg not wanting anyone to see his face (crying) "what?"

Rikki: "don't do it for you....do it for her."

Ross looks up at laura with tears

Rikki: "c'mon....you can do it...besides laura may not know the truth yet but I know for sure that she doesn't like seeing those teardrops in your hazel eyes"

Ross: "can't believe I made you cry" he sings to laura

Rikki: "it feels so long"

Ross: "since we went wrong" he sings choking on his words

Ross looks down then hides his face in Rikki's lap

Rikki: sighs

Riker: smiles as an idea pops in his head

"You guys are idiots"

Rikki: "THATS WHY YOU SMILED!"

Riker: "haha....nope"

Everyone looks at him confused

Riker: "rocky..." He gives him a look

Rocky: "wha- OHHHH"

Rydel: "let's do this"

They run out leaving ross and Rikki. Rikki sighs and strokes his hair.

A few minutes later everyone comesin with acoustic instruments.

Rikki: "what are you doing?"

Ryland: walks in "you know for an honor student your not catching on very quick"

Rikki: "don't sass your girlfriend"

Ryland: eyes open wide. He runs over to her still standing and wraps his arm around Rikki being cautious of ross.

Ratliff: "ready?"

They all nod

Riker: "1...2..3.."
