Chapter 70: stressing relationships

Ross' POV

I just stared at the doctor waiting for a response.

Let's just say, his response wasn't what I was expecting.

He looked at me, the papers, then turned around to look at someone-don't know who- , back at me, then grabbed the papers from my hand and ran.

I ran after him, but somehow he escaped. I have no idea where he is.

I catch my breath.

I walk past to rikkis room to see Ryland still trying to get her to talk to him.

Good luck bro.

I go to Laura's room to see the door shut.

"What?" I say to myself

"Sorry, ross. The doctor's doing one less examination before she leaves. He just got the records from Cali so he needs to compare them and whatnot"

I stare at Rydel. How the hell did she get all that out? I mean, she's Rydel.

"Hey, someone's gotta do it when grace won't."

"Why won't grace?" I ask confused

We all turn to grace

"Grace, why aren't you talking?" Faith asks grace

She stays silent

"Did something happen?" Riker asks all of us

They all shrug.

"Idiots." I say

"What?" They all ask. See what I mean?

"Grace, you don't need all this stress. Go take a walk outside. It'll help"

She nods without making eye contact.

She goes to the elevator and we watch her as the doors shut.

My phone rings

From: Grace < smarter than me >

Be back in 10. Walking around the park.

Wait, when did I put smarter than me in her contact. I mean...its true, but still.

I put my phone away and look up at everyone. Then at these two certain idiots.

"Faith and Rocky"

"Huh?"

"It's your fault she's not talking?"

"OURS?! HOW?!"

"Shhhhhh" a nurse says walking by

"Rocky, you literally are going back and forth with two girls! Faith, you don't even freakin realize that Grace is hurt already. She was fuckin kidnapped by her own ex-boyfriend. She doesn't need her best friend and her other best friend's brother practically breaking her heart!!!!"

The same nurse walks past us again.

"SERIOUSLY YOU YELL AT US BUT NOT HIM!!!" Rocky and faith yell

"Shhhhh" she says to them again

"guys! Focus!"

Rocky runs out.

"Where are you going?"

*phone rings*

Grace.

Seriously, who keeps changing my contacts!?

But oh my god ROCKACE EEK

I did not just squeal in my head....pshhh.

YOU KNOW NOTHING.

anyway...

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM US!"

"Riker!" We all yell

"WHAT?!" He yells back

"What was that for?" Ellington asks

"The freakin doctor was checking out Vanessa!"

We all look at Vanessa; asleep on a hospital bench chair.

"Kids!"

We look over to mom.

"Riker, drive them home and pack."

"Why so urgent?" I ask

"If we don't leave by tomorrow........ Austin and Ally is gonna be cancelled."

No. That can't happen. I knew its a show and there's always other roles but it's A&A's different. It's where I met Laura.

I look over to mom and find dad walking over to her.

"Mom and dad are such a cute couple. I ship them!" Rydel squeals

"No duh, they're married." Riker says

"Mom, what about Laura?" I ask "and rikki?"

"You can stay, ross."

"Okay." THANK GOD

"See ya later, ross." Riker says picking up Vanessa.

"Yeah, bye guys"

"Bye"

I sigh as I look back to Laura's room.

Wait.... That's him

The doctor.

The same doctor.

Holding the same papers.
