Chapter 85: Realization

Everyone's boarding the jet.
"Wait!"
"What's is it rocky?" Rikki asks annoyed
"Why are you so annoyed?" Vanessa asks
"I'm....PREGANT!!"
"Oh right."
"WHO CARES! I think I just saw Aaron...with Grace" rocky cuts in
"Seriously?" Ross asks
"Seriously" he assures
"You know what. Let's just get on the jet. I need a nap before this stupid plan." Ross says walking away
They follow him and board the jet.

"I don't care if you don't want to do this. If you let them ruin the plan you'll lose your 'best friend'" he mocks
"Fine! I'll do the fuckin work but you can't hurt them!"
"Deal."
- on the jet -
"Are we going to LA?" Rikki asks
"Yeah. But we're heading to Colorado for Christmas." Stormie says
"Okay."
+ 2 hours later +
"Wait. Where's Dad?" Ross asks
"Right here." They hear over the speaker
(I feel like there's a special name for it but I can't recall)
"Whaaaaa?" Rocky sings confused
"Wait, Dad, are you flying the jet?" Rikki asks
"What do you think, KitKat?"
"DAD! STOP CALLING ME KITKAT!" Rikki shouts
"Why does he call you KitKat again?" Ellington asks
"Because when I first met them I was on a sugar high, so I kept on asking everyone for candy and the only thing they had were kit kats."
"Plus she has chocolate brown eyes"
"Okay then." Rydel says
+ 3 hours later +
Ross looks away from the window to look at Laura.
She stays there; crying in her sleep. Slightly shaking.
"Rikki."
He gets no response
"Rikki?" He stands up to looks at Rikki asleep. "Oh"
He sighs and sits down.
He figured Rikki would know if there was something particular that's going on, but guess not.
He looks at her; Wondering how she's going to react.
Someone taps his shoulder.
He turns around to look at Riker.
"Talk to Ryland. He told me to get your attention"
"Uhhh....Kay?"
He looks in front of him, but Ryland isn't in his seat.
"What?"
"Behind you."
"DUDE!"
Ryland laughs sitting down next to Rikki. He holds her hand and kisses her forehead. "Are you ready to do this?"
"Do what?"
"Find out who the father is."
"We won't know till the baby's born."
"About that..."
"What is it?"
He sighs. "The baby's sick. The doctor said that he or she can still be born but....probably early and ...not exactly healthy."
Ross thinks for a bit. Mostly worrying.
"And you didn't tell her, did you?"
He shakes his head. "It'll crack her heart. The plan is going to hurt her enough. I can't hurt her like this. Not now"
Ross realizes that rylands been going through a lot. From dating a pregnant girl to not knowing if he's the father. Sure, ross loves Rikki, but he loves his brother just as much. Ross wants this kid to be ryland's
