Ernie was caught.
Dead in the act.
Maiko saw him.
Maiko saw him, and called the police while screaming at him and telling her kids to lock themselves in her room.
Maiko saw him slap Hitaru across the face and scream at Sayako that she was a fat bitch.
Soon, the police were there. As Ernie was put into the police car, he screamed that all three of them would regret what they did.
Here they were, four days later, and they were out of the house. Hitaru and Sayako were both staying with Sora, who's mother had been generous enough to allow them to stay while a full-scale investigation was held.
Daichi had been informed of the situation, and he would call Sayako every day and ask if she was hurt or if she was okay, if she needed help.
He also called Hitaru and gave him the same lectures.
With this, Sayako and Hitaru didn't have much free time, as they were being asked questions and had to be in the police station a lot.
Only Sora and her mother knew of the situation, and neither of them were permitted to say anything.
Sayako and Hitaru weren't allowed to speak of it until Ernie was behind bars.
Then it happened. It was all over the news.
"Ernie Nados, Man living in Odaiba, convicted for intense child abuse of two children."
Sora read out loud, holding the newspaper in her hands. She flicked through it.
Sayako sighed. "Wow."
Hitaru looked up at the two, who were sitting on Sora's bed, while Hitaru was on the floor, reading one of his comic books that Mimi sent him.
"He's really in jail?" Hitaru asked.
Sayako nodded. "He's in there for..." She took the newspaper, "Ten to twenty years." She confirmed, handing the paper back to Sora.
Hitaru nodded, "... wow..."

Matt hummed a tune softly as he plugged his amp into his guitar.
"Saya hasn't been to rehearsal in a while," Eito pouted slightly, picking up his drumsticks.Matt nodded. "Yeah, she's only told me a little bit... Some family shit, she can't really talk about it yet," He muttered, sliding his guitar over his shoulder, as Fumihito picked up his bass pick.
"That's tragic," Laslow mumbled.
Suddenly, the door was opened, and a certain pink-haired girl was in the doorway.
"I! Am not dead! I! Am here!"
Sayako Kaneki announced, dropping her bag down as she took out a notebook.
Eito gasped, "SAYAKO!" He clapped. Laslow smiled a bit.
Matt grinned brightly. "Ako!"
"KANEKIIII-" Fumiito cheered.
Sayako giggled. It was nice to be missed.
"So, I'll summarize and go into detail later. My mom was with a guy, guy is now in jail because he abused us. That bruise on my arm was not from a tree. e's in jail for ten to twenty YEARS."
She explained in short, taking a seat.
"Holy fuck," Matt mumbled.
"Holy fuck is right," Fumihito added.
"I would use a different word, but F-... that word works." Eito nodded.
They nodded in unison, as Sayako looked down at her notes.
"yeah. ANyways, enough with my sappy shit. I wanna hear you guys play. It's been waaaay too long."
"ANything for you, my emo." matt seemingly cooed.
"Flirt some other time, will you?" Laslow rolled his eyes, as he turned up the sound on his keyboard.
-
Hitaru, on the other hand, was living out his wildest dreams.
He and Maiho went to the candy shop and bought as much as their allowances would pay for.
Which was... A lot.
That night, they got high on sugar and had a sleepover.
They ended up sleeping in the same bed, but they didn't care, because they were friends.
Even if they both wanted more.
-
After a good rehearsal and Matt's band mates left, Matt brought Sayako to his house, and to his room.
"It's been way, WAY too long, baby," He muttered as they shared one kiss, two, three, and a slow make-out.
-
Sora and Sayako grew closer, and, needless to say, Sayako had a new sister that wasn't from her own bloodline.
They became close friends, in only the span of five days.
