Sunlight is a girl, a demon, and 13 years old. She desperately wants to be seen by everyone else, but can't until someone believes in her other than Akari, and gods DAMN, all these people Akari is around are skeptics... She wears that dress^, and appears to be very formal and dressed up, but when she and Moonlight become "real", they find more comfortable, casual clothes. She's caring and kind, and an amazing listener. Sunlight is bisexual and EXTREMELY peppy, she's pretty adorable. her biggest goal in life is to find a significant other and become a painter.

Moonlight is Sunlight's twin sister. Moonlight is 13, female, and a demon. She's a bit more hostile than her sister, and doesn't make many attempts to converse with Akari's friends and family unless she is asked to do so. When Akari has breakdowns, it's usually because of Moonlight's little whispers. Moonlight doesn't know. She's a pessimist and very quiet, contrasting with her bright and bubbly sister.

~BACKSTORY~
Sunlight and Moonlight are what we call "Guardian Demons". They protect others. Their parents were convinced that they needed to present as feminine and cute, just so boys would like them. The two girls were put on a very strict diet, and were hit if ever they strayed from the diet. Their parents said it was "just to help them". Sunlight bought it, Moonlight didn't. Finally, even Sunlight had enough, and the two girls ran away. Then, in some freak accident where they fell through a strange hole in the forest, they disappeared without a trace. The police couldn't track them down... They wondered why. No one seemed to hear them. They could take whatever they wanted. They felt a strange calling to a home in Odaiba, Japan... When sunlight knocked on the door, her hand only hit the door once, the other two times her hand fazed through the door. They could simply walk through. The adult blonde male didn't see or hear them. The two kids in the living room couldn't, and neither could the adult pink-haired female. However, in one room upstairs, a young girl could. The twins felt content there, and they realized that they had to do two things: Protect and befriend the girl, and find a way for people to see them.

in order to see them, you have to believe they exist.
Sunlight gets uncomfortable with talking about their parents, Moonlight becomes hostile when asked about them.
one day, f i n a l l y, Matt calls August to ask about her speaking with Akari, and after a few visits with August and Akari, August tells them that there are two beings that live there with Akari, but can't show themselves just yet
gradually, the two become able to communicate, but must be brought back from a witch/wizard/demon/magical being speaking for them and bringing them back to the physical realm.
