Just to let you all know, I started writing this the moment I posted the previous chapter, so... yeah. Enjoy!
What the hell was going on?
It's been a week ever since that day over at Cameron's. When I finally figured out everything and kinda put the pieces together of her life.
Of course there's a lot more missing but at least I have somewhat of a puzzle piece.
But, when I came to classes the next day.. everything was totally different. Cameron was not herself. She wasn't even talking to me in class or outside of classes.
I tried talking to her after class was over, but she told me to leave. I was confused and angry at the same time because this is the second time she's done this and I still have no idea what's going on.
It could be because of Daniel but I'm not sure.
"Anything to want to talk about?"
I sent a text to her as I was walking to the student lounge. I needed some coffee but didn't feel like driving over to Starbucks. I knew that's the only thing that could get me through this day without murdering someone.
Sitting at the table in the lounge, I looked at my phone but didn't see a text come through. I sigh as I placed it on the table and took out a book and started reading. There wasn't anything else to do so might as well pass the time.
As I was reading, I heard a group of people sitting on the couch. I look over at them as it was two girls and three guys. I tried focusing on my book instead but I overheard something that caught my attention.
"There's a street race this weekend. I have the details and everything."
"I heard that the grand prize was ten grand."
I totally forgot all about the race that was happening this weekend. It was only last week when Cole told me about it and everything that's been happening, I guess I forgot about it.
Seeing Cole walk into the lounge, we made eye contact and I motioned him over. He sat at the table and stared at me before shrugging. "What?"
"That race this weekend.." I look around before looking back at him. "count me in."

"You are the biggest idiot ever. What the fuck are you doing, Micah? I thought you learned your lesson last time? Remember last time? You flipped your car!"
Telling Jace might have not been the smartest idea but hell, I'm not about to keep shit from him. I hate doing that to him no matter how pissed he gets at me for telling him the truth.
I have yet to tell him about Cameron but since I don't know what the hell is going on at the moment, there's nothing to really tell at the moment.
"Trust me, ok?" I turn to face him. He stands there with his arms crossed, telling me with his eyes that I'm an idiot. Although his mouth already did the job.
"Yeah, I trust you. But when you have that adrenaline running through your veins, you get a little hot-headed and crazy. Micah, think about your life for one second."
Looking at him, I knew he was right but I can control myself. I usually tend to get crazy when I have nothing but adrenaline inside of my veins, but most of the time I can keep it cool.
"It's going to be ok. I got this."
He shook his head. "Yeah, you said that the first time, the second time, the third.. hell, I don't even keep track of them anymore!"
