Chapter thirty two: Hit and run

"What are you doing here?" By this point, Cameron was standing up as I was just sitting on the edge of the bed watching Daniel stare at me. "How the hell did you get in?"

His eyes averted over to her. "I have my ways. Plus, I came by to see my daughter but instead I walked in on this." He looks back at me with the most disgusted look.

Well, you ain't that pretty neither bud.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing, Cameron? Are you actually this stupid? Did you forget we have a daughter!"

I look over at Cameron as she was staring back at him. "I wouldn't call her yours.. but you need to leave, Daniel. This isn't your business."

"Where's my daughter? I'm taking her."

"No the hell you aren't!"

I watched Daniel walk out of the room with Cameron following right behind him. I followed her out then down the stairs as we came to a stop in the hallway in front of the door.

He looks over at me then back at her. "Is she with Lexie?"

"I'm not telling you where she is."

Watching him, I made sure he didn't step any closer to her or tried anything. I was mainly in the back cause I have no part in this conversation but I'm not scared to hit the dude if he tries anything.

When his eyes landed on me, he had a stupid smirk on his face before he looks back to her. "You know, I don't think anyone would want to know that you're fucking one of your students."

Cameron's face said it all as I saw the blood drain from her face. She was just standing there not saying anything as I was looking between both of them.

"How the hell-"

He smiles. "I have my sources, Cameron. I know everything, remember that. But most importantly, I don't want my daughter around this!"

"It's not up to you, Daniel! She belongs to me! I have custody over her, not you." She crosses her arms as she stares at her.

Watching him look over at me for a moment, I couldn't understand why he kept looking over at me. If this dude keeps looking at me, I'm going to have to knock his teeth out.

"I'll give you one more chance to bring me Brailynn.. or else." He steps closer and that's when I stepped closer also. He must have seen me cause he looks over at me for a moment. "Don't even think about it."

Cameron looks at me. "Micah, leave."

I gave her a confused look then shook my head. "Hell no." Crossing my arms, I look at Daniel. "I'm not leaving until this jackass does."

He steps closer towards me then Cameron grabs his arm. "Leave, Daniel."

Nodding, he backs up then looks at her. "Ok, but I won't forget this. I will come back for my daughter and your little secret is no longer safe."

After that, he walks out of the door. I look over at Cameron as she's just standing there. Walking over to her, I place my hand on her shoulder.

"Hey-"

She moves away then turns towards me. "You need to leave, Micah."

"Why me?"

Standing there, she crosses her arms and looks somewhere else. After a moment, she looks over at me. "Just leave."

"I'm not leaving, Cameron. Look-"

"No, you need to leave!" She un-crossed her arms and stared at me.
