Throwing curve balls is what I do best and what better way to end the book then throw something least expected. Not saying this is the last chapter, but it's coming. Just a warning.
It was a fun ride you guys! Enjoy!
I ran as fast as I could.
Not knowing where the hell I was going, but knowing that if I just kept running through backyards, over fences and avoid demon dogs then I should be ok.
But I'm not going to be ok.
I always think I know what the fuck I'm doing and what I'm doing is ok and no harm is ever to come of it.
But karma has a funny way of showing up and hitting me across the head, laughing in my face for trying to be the hero in these scenarios.
What happened was, I was on my way back to the house to confront Daniel, when I heard him outside yelling for Brailynn.
My instinct was to hide and see what he does.
I forgot I had my phone on loud and when he was walking around frantically trying to find her, my phone started ringing while I was hiding in the bush.
My dumbass self had trouble getting out of the bush I was currently in, therefore he saw me and started running after me.
I wasn't about to fight him in front of anyone, so I started running down the street in hopes that he would chase me.
I didn't think nothing of it until I saw him running to a vehicle, which I knew wasn't his, but I was running on foot while he was chasing me with a car down the road.
My best bet was to run through backyards and avoid getting caught. I knew that I had to lure him to a place but I wasn't sure where that place would even be at cause I was focused on running.
But as I was jumping fences and trying not to let anyone see me run through their backyard, I came up with a plan. A plan that I wasn't too sure would even be worth taking the risk for but it was worth a shot.
I took my phone out then quickly hid between two houses for a moment. Trying to calm my beating heart. I sent a text to Cole and told him about the plan I had in mind.
Knowing I would need some help with this because I probably would end up getting killed if I did this alone. Daniel was a complete lunatic, but that doesn't mean I'm not as crazy as he is.
I got a text back then quickly ran from between the houses and stood out where he could see me. But when I stood there, looking around, I didn't see him anywhere.
Looking down the road, there was no signs of him anywhere.
That was until I saw a car coming down the road and I knew it was him from the way it started speeding up. I didn't wait any longer until I ran in the middle of the road and watched as he sped up then slammed on brakes.
I crossed my arms as I watched him get out of the car. Slamming the door in the process and walking towards me. At this point, I wasn't scared. Not of him anyways. I just wanted him to be scared of me.
As he was approaching me, I took this opportunity and started running as fast as I could. I had to make him follow me no matter what and I couldn't try to hide or lose him.
He needed to follow me.
But if I didn't almost die all the way to the place where I was running to. I honestly have no idea how the hell someone could run every single day and not die.
I had to take a few breaks, but not long in fear that I'd lose him. I had to keep going and make sure that Cole knew the plan.
As I was running, I knew I was getting close to the destination, just a few more blocks and I'll be there.
