Love in a Rush II (LR 2)

The Orchid Country Club is just a stone's throw away from Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre where the Non-Life convention was held that was why it was easier for the convention delegates to return to their rooms in the Orchid Country Club.

The events organizers announced that the delegates would have all the afternoon for leisure time and tour of Singapore. Most of the delegates decided to go on tour, including Rori and Shayla, but Gerard and Percival decided to invite Rafa and Lee to a paintball game at Red Dynasty Paintball Park.  It is just 13 minutes away from the Orchid Country Club.

Percival also invited Utt Sanders. Si Utt ang lalaking nakita ni Gerard na lumapit kay Shayla at Rori in the first day of the convention. Natuklasan ni Gerard mula kay Percival na si Utt pala ay college friend at varsity team mate nito noong college.

Kaya pala ito kilala nina Rori at Shayla.Sa isip niya.

Nalaman din niya kay Percival that Utt Sanders liked Shayla a lot, and Shayla knew about it because he attempted to court Shayla by sending her flowers, chocolates, and giving her long distance calls and text messages. It was just hard for Utt to communicate with Shayla then because of her old mobile unit that would keep turning off every whenever he attempted to call.

Napa-smile si Gerard sa naalalang mobile unit ni Shayla noong una silang magkita. It was a Nokia 3210. Shayla couldn't let go of that mobile fon and she has kept it in one of her boxes in their room. At dahil sa 3210 na mobile unit ni Shayla noon, hindi naituloy ni Utt ang panliligaw kaya naman he decided to go to Philippines, find a potential business, so that he could settle here and pursue Shayla. Yun nga lang ay nabuntis si Shayla sa mga panganay nilang kambal at nagpakasal sila. Percival said Utt was heartbroken when he learned na kinasal na pala si Shayla.

Buti na lang!  Malaki pala ang dapat kong ipagpasalamat sa Nokia 3210 ni Shayla!  Naisip niya. But he believes that it was truly fate that brought him and Shayla together, and he is just thankful to God for that. Naalala niya noon na parang gumuho ang mundo niya nang maghiwalay silang long time girl friend niyang si Bianca Sobel. He thought he would never love the same way again. Then he met Shayla, and they had a one night stand. She was a virgin then, and didn't know of contraception methods, while he was too drunk to even use one so Shayla got pregnant. Noong nalaman niya na nabuntis niya si Shayla, alam na niya sa sarili na siya ang ama ng dinadala nito. Something deep inside him was telling him that she is, she was, and she has always been the one. Hindi nga lang makapaniwala si Gerard noong una sa nararamdaman niya para kay Shayla because it didn't make sense to him back then that he felt that she has always been the one, even on the first time he saw her, and they had a silly argument about trespassing in his home. There even came a point in time that they got separated and both had amnesia. But they still found and recognized each other. Despite of the things that happened in the past, their love for each has gotten deeper and stronger.

He knows it is God who authors our life journey, and he knows that all God's plans and works are always perfect, sweet, and beautiful. Kaya naman alam niya na para sila sa isa't isa ni Shayla.

There's really no reason for me to get jealous of other men because I know that Shayla and I love each other, and nothing, by God's grace, will separate us. He reminded himself.

Naputol ang pag-iisip niya nang lumabas ang kanyang asawa mula sa bathroom. Naka-tuwalya lamang ito dahil galing ito sa pagligo. The towel was shorter than the standard and it barely covered her chest and behind. 

"Wow!"  He whispered, and was back to his naughty self again, as he stared at his wife. 

"Hon, saan kayo pupunta nina Pyke, Lee, at Sir Rafa?" tanong ni Shayla na walang kamalay malay na pinagmasmasdan niya ito.
