This continues the story of "Princess of Almyra" and "All that matters is skill".

Ever since your confrontation with that rude boy, you had been feeling a little more outgoing. You didn't seek out anyone, but you also didn't completely avoid them anymore. You even accepted Raphael's offers to keep you company from time to time.

Long story short, you had been feeling a lot more comfortable with your surroundings than you had in a long time.

You were in the dining hall with Raphael and Ignatz discussing the acceptable amount of food that should be eaten, when you saw that boy again.

He was sitting at the table in front of yours and that suddenly gave you an idea.

You stood up with determination.

"Where are you going? You haven't even finished your food!" said Raphael.

"I'm just going to settle a score." you said as you began to walk away.

As you walked towards the other table you heard Ignatz's worried voice. "I don't like the sound of that..."

You didn't really have much of a plan, and you didn't really care.

You walked around the table until you were directly in front of him. You walked forward, slammed your hands on the table and looked him right in the eyes, "You, spar with me." you said.

"What?" he asked, as he glared at you, he seemed to have barely had time to start eating and was understandably annoyed.

You smirked. "Well, you wanted to spar the other day right? Now is a good a time as ever."

The girl next to him recovered from her shock quickly and, to your surprise, she seemed angry at the boy instead of at you. "What did you do this time, Felix?"

Felix, so that was his name.

Felix took a moment, still glaring at you, completely ignoring his friend and replied, "Alright, but be prepared to face defeat."

You rolled your eye, "Yeah, sure."

You both walked to the Training Grounds; it was a silent and awkward stroll.

When you arrived you each picked out a training sword and got into ready position.

As you sparred you got more and more frustrated, this guy had clearly been using a sword for his entire life, you on the other hand had not.

You were managing to keep up, albeit clumsily.  You were hoping to beat him, this was not going well.

at that moment you tripped and fell backwards. You panicked as you saw him about to deliver the finishing strike, extended your hand and, out of pure instinct, materialized a small explosion between the two of you that made him fall onto his back.

A lot of things went through your mind at this moment: Claude was so going to say I told you so, magic was probably not allowed in a sparring match like this and this was your moment to claim the win.

You listened to only one of those things.

You quickly got up, before Felix could recover, and held your sword at his face with a smirk.

He glared at you, "That's cheating."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I guess I didn't know, since I'm just that Almyran girl and all." you said sarcastically.

He rolled his eyes, he was clearly annoyed that you stole his win from him, but his face looked just as sour as ever so it was hard to tell. He made to get up and you extended your hand to him.

He glared at your extended hand and said, "I don't accept help from cheaters."

He got up and made his way out of the Training Grounds.

You had no clue what came over you, but you followed him. Your protective bubble was about to shatter, but you didn't seem to care.

You caught up with him and walked beside him, trying to get his attention.

"Look, I'm sorry. It was an accident." you said, but he didn't answer, "It was an instinctual reaction, it wasn't like I tried to cheat." Still nothing. You frowned and kept on, "Cut me a break, OK? I've only been wielding a sword for a month. I've never sparred before."

This caught his attention and he stopped walking to look at you, "You've only been training with a sword for a month?"

Suddenly you were feeling a bit self conscious, "Uh, yeah..."

He crossed his arms with a thoughtful gaze, "You're pretty good for a beginner. Let's spar again when you've had more practice. But no magic next time."

With that, he walked away again. You were feeling inexplicably happy.

"I'm Y/N by the way!" you called out after him.

He stopped and looked back, not quite smiling, but not quite frowning either. "I'm Felix."

While everyone else is nearing the time skip, our little princess is still starting out the year X,D.

Happy Birthday, Felix!
