Takes place after "The Curse of Saint Celestine".

As Flayn walked around the monastery grounds she wondered where you were. Her days were getting more and more repetitive and you were growing more and more reclusive.

She'd finished everything she wanted to do already and had started dreaming of far-off adventures she wished to one day share with you, but she couldn't share anything with you if she couldn't find you.

She knew you had to be hiding from people somewhere. But where?

Maybe the library? You did seem to spend a lot of time in there. There was at least no harm in checking it out.

She made her way to the library stoping only to grab a quick snack.

When she got there and she found you, she decided against approaching you since it seemed you were a bit preoccupied at the moment.

She giggled and watched from afar.

.

You were uncomfortable to say the least. Linhardt had said something about wanting to confirm a theory and he had moved his face much closer to yours than you would like.

You felt your face grow hot as he looked into your eyes.

"Linhardt, what is it that you are doing?" you said, unsure about how to react.

He smiled and backed away, "It seems I was correct."

"About?"

"Oh, nothing. Say, did you know they say Saint Celestine avoided most social interaction, especially of the romantic kind?" he seemed back to normal, but that just confused you further.

"Yes?"

"Some even say that she was never in any sort of romantic relationship at all. She never even married. It's as if she was completely uninterested in that type of thing."

How could he say that while sounding as if he was discussing scientific findings?

"That is because she was. I mean, that is what I have read at least."

"How about you?"

"How about me, what?" he was starting to make you nervous.

"Have you ever been in a relationship? No, that was a dumb question." It kind of was considering he knew you'd never even had a friend before. "Let me rephrase. Would you ever like to be?"

The way he seemed unusually wide awake as he spoke was unnerving.

"It almost seems as if you are asking to court me." you said awkwardly.

"And if I was?" He sounded so earnest it spooked you.

No, this was too much. That's it. An escape was now necessary.

"Ah, I-I think I am late to a meeting with my brother. I apologise for cutting this conversation short. If you will excuse me."

.

Flayn watched as you scurried away to a "meeting with your brother". Considering Rhea was with your brother at the moment, you meeting with him was very unlikely.

Oooh! She was definitely excited now!

This was like at those romance novels Seteth had confiscated. But better. It was happening here! Right in front of her!

She finally had something new to entertain herself with. And since, clearly, you needed her assistance, she would gladly give it.

.

As of late Flayn, had been acting strange. You couldn't quite explain it, but she seemed different somehow. And this was not a good different.

You had been avoiding Linhardt for a week now.  The mature response to this situation, clearly. But whenever Flayn was with you, she seemed to go out of her way just to make sure you ran into each other. It hadn't worked yet.

It was the yet that worried you.

It was late and both your sister and you were sitting in the library fighting against sleep. Neither of you were very fond of it.

Somehow, however, you managed to drift off. You didn't know how long you were out, but when you awoke it wasn't Flayn that was sitting beside you, but Linhardt.

He was reading a book, and seemed unaware you were awake.

Unfortunately you were so startled to see him you fell out of your chair and onto the floor.

The commotion had drawn Linhardt's attention and he looked over to where you were.

"Are you ok?"

You rubbed your arm and avoided his gaze with a frown. "Peachy."

"You should try to be more careful." he said as he offered you a hand.

You stood up with his help, dusted yourself off and sat back down. "Forgive me, but I expected my sister to be here."

"Flayn said she was going to bed and asked me to keep you company."

Flayn was definitely up to something.

"You can go back to sleep if you'd like." he added.

"No, that's ok. I'd rather not anyways." You didn't even want to fall asleep the first time.

"It's not healthy to deprive yourself of sleep."

"Says the boy who has seemingly been awake for two days straight now."

"That's just how my sleep schedule works." He yawned, "But I was planning on sleeping tonight."

You looked pointedly to the bookcase in front of you and said, "Well, please do not let me keep you from your rest."

"Alright." he said as he stood up, "Goodnight." he added and you were sure he was going to start walking away, but before you could reply a pair of lips kissed your cheek and your brain seemed to stop working.

"I'll be on my way." Linhardt said casually as he walked out of the library and out of sight, leaving you in a complete state of shock.

This was all somehow your sister's fault, you were sure of it.
