This takes place after "All that matters is winning".
.
It took you about a week of your brother being ridiculously overprotective to understand what was going on. He was convinced that there was something between you and Felix.
That was crazy.
You barely spent any time with him. And it wasn't like you spent moments of your day imagining how you could impress him with your skills, so you could see that cute almost smile of his for a short instant...
Uh oh.
Ok, so maybe somewhere along the line something had sparked without your knowledge. Now you sat on the floor of the Training Grounds, training sword in hand, contemplating life.
You didn't come here to get a crush. You came to Fódlan to gauge the level of ill will towards Almyra.
You didn't have time for a crush.
This was all Khalid's fault!
If he hadn't made such a big deal out of this you wouldn't have even noticed you liked Felix.
You were still getting over your little burst of misplaced anger when you heard a voice coming nearer.
"Leave me alone, Sylvain."
"Come on, Felix. Now's your chance. You have to tell her that--"
"I don't have to do anything."
You finally saw Felix enter the Training Grounds. He was alone, so you supposed Sylvain must have left.
Felix's hair was messier than usual, it still looked good. You thought so, at least.
"What are you staring at?" Felix's annoyed question snapped you out of your daze.
"N-nothing." You cursed at your stuttering.
"You wanted me to help you, so hurry up." Felix seemed more on edge than usual and that was saying something.
.
Once you started training, your awkwardness faded away and you were able to actually focus on learning.
Felix was a surprisingly good teacher and learning new things came easy for you. In practically no time at all you perfected the technique. Now you were getting ready to spar.
You looked around the area to assess the space you had available. The only other person in the Training Grounds was Sylvain, who had come in to train with his lance a short while back.
Felix has narrowed his eyes when he saw his friend. The suspicious glare he sent his way made you wonder what was so weird about the situation.
You got into ready position across from Felix. You glared at each other. Determination to win filled you both with energy.
You raced forward in sync. Both ready to strike and on guard. Magic at the ready at your fingertips, just in case.
You were at optimal distance and you both went in for a strike when--
"Oops."
Sylvain's lance had, somehow, made its way to the floor in front of Felix causing the boy to trip and take you down with him.
The position you landed in made you both blush. Felix was the first to recover. Getting up to glare at his friend
"Sylvain!"
But Sylvain was already out the door with a simple shout of "sorry!".
Felix sighed and turned towards you. You were still shocked, staring blankly forward on the ground.
Felix offered you his hand and helped you up. "I apologise for that idiot. He never thinks before--"
You cut Felix off by placing a quick kiss on his cheek and running out the door.
You ran as fast as you could as if trying to outrun your own embarrassment.
Your brother would not be happy about this when you told him.
If you told him.
