Takes place after "Remember them".
.
You had been dancing with Ferdinand all night and your feet started to hurt. Despite you insisting he should stay and have fun, Ferdinand decided to accompany you outside.
He even offered to carry you. But that you had managed to decline successfully.
You sat down on the first chair you found and Ferdinand sat across from you. The chilly night air kept you awake in spite of how tired you were.
You looked up at the sky with a carefree gaze. Troubled times loomed ahead, but you refused to let them ruin the peaceful time you had left.
"You're beautiful..."
The words were barely above a whisper; they probably weren't meant for you to hear. However, you were very glad you did.
When you looked at him, Ferdinand noticed his blunder and would have panicked if your words hadn't stopped him.
"You really think so?"
Ferdinand's eyes widened with slight surprise, "Of course. You ask as if such a statement were strange to hear."
"Well, it seems I don't have the highest opinion of my physical appearance. Ever since my hair... Well, you met me before it happened. It, reminds me of difficult times. The first time I saw it I nearly believed myself to be a ghost." you said, your smile never faltering. Although your gaze may have lowered a bit.
"You are just as stunning now as you were before." He moved to stand beside you and offered you his hand, "If I may, there is a place I would like to go with you."
You took his hand and stood up, "Would this place happen to be the Goddess Tower?"
"It might."
You smiled at each other and made your way to your destination, hand in hand.
You reached the Goddess Tower and looked at the view that could only be appreciated here.
"So, what wish are we making?" you asked with a kind smile.
Ferdinand looked momentarily stunned, "To tell you the truth, I had nearly forgotten about that... I just thought being here would be romantic."
You laughed joyfully, "That it is."
He smiled, staring at you as if entranced, "What wish would you like to make, my Princess."
You thought for a moment, "All I want is for things to stay the same. I had never been as happy before, as I have these past few months."
"Then that is also what I wish. For you to be happy. And if I get to stay by your side, that would be an added bonus."
You stared at each other in a comfortable silence. You felt warm, as if one of the stars you had gazed upon merely moments before had found a new home in your chest.
Although you usually spoke your mind with little worry, your boldness in this moment surprised even you.
Gazing into his caring eyes you asked, "Ferdinand... Can I kiss you?"
He gazed back and with reddened cheeks he nodded, as though he didn't trust his voice enough to use it.
And so you moved closer and he met you halfway.
It truly was as though the edge of dawn halted it's approach. Even if for just one second.
