December 13th. Fleur's 23rd birthday.
The second Harry had been informed of this, he refused to return to London until her birthday was properly celebrated. No matter how many times she protested his staying in LA, he argued he'd be back home before Christmas.
She hated to admit she was actually more than excited to have him here for her birthday. Things hadn't been made "official" yet, due to the fact that Harry wanted to have a proper date first. But that didn't stop them from acting as a couple.
Not like it's stopped them before to begin with.
Over the past few weeks, they've spent a lot of time together. Either huddled up in his house, or sometimes even sneaking to Fleur's apartment when June is out with Maggie. Despite her witnessing Harry in the flesh, June is yet to meet him.
Ever since Fleur and Harry worked things out, June has been nonstop begging Fleur introduce her to him. This time Fleur has no excuses. So, she decided to introduce the two for her birthday.
Though, that doesn't necessarily go as planned.
Harry had snuck in to surprise Fleur for her birthday, bringing her a bag of bagels and coffee. Iced coffee, though. Fleur doesn't like hot coffee.
It bores her.
June isn't home for reasons unknown. Chances are she slipped away to see Maggie. But, even Maggie doesn't wake up this early.
Leaving a trail of kisses on her face, Harry successfully began to wake the girl. She grins and stretches her body, eyes still shut.
"June, I thought we agreed we couldn't do this anymore." She jokes with a playful tone.
"Funny." Harry sarcastically remarks before pushing his body away from hers.
But, he's too slow. For Fleur is faster than him as she wraps her hand around his wrist and yanks him down beside her. They lie there, side by side for a good minute before Harry sits up again with the bag of bagels.
"Hungry?"
"Always."
So, the two sit against the headboard, chowing down on their bagels with their individual spreads. Fleur likes blueberry cream cheese and Harry likes grape jam. Though, these days he prefers strawberry.
Fleur's favorite.
Being as they each have two slices, they decide to trade one, Fleur getting one of Harry's jam slathered half, Harry getting her blueberry cream cheese half.
They eat in silence. A comfortable silence, nonetheless. But it speaks volumes in a way. It describes them perfectly. Both so quiet, yet speak louder through their eyes.
They look like two children. Shyly glancing at each other every now and then and nervously laughing as they look away. Fleur tucking her hair behind her ear and Harry clearing his throat awkwardly.
"You have jam all over your mouth!" Fleur laughs, her melodic giggles music to Harry's ears.
He timidly smiles as she reaches out with a napkin, wiping the sticky substance off. She proceeds to lean forward and kiss him softly before pulling away with a smile.
"Just for good measure." She tells him.
Harry chuckles and grabs her face with a hand, pulling her back toward him. Their lips press together again, this time full of more passion and heat. Fleur's hands trail down to his shirt, tugging him closer.
With their lips still connected, Harry pushes Fleur back against the pillows, throwing a leg over her small body, his knee digging into the bed beside her thigh. He hovers over her, kissing her on the face lightly.
