Meanwhile......

Sophie paced her room at Havenfield. The boy she'd bumped into, that was the same boy she had fought the day of the ambush. She was sure of it.

This meant that the Neverseen may have planted him there.

What if he pretended not to notice her, just to let her guard down. What if—

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Sophie's parents came in. They asked Sophie how her first day of school was.

Sophie wondered if she should tell Edaline and Grady about that boy, she didn't know how they would react and whether they would still let her attend Foxfire. She decided against it, and replied with what she hoped was a smile and not a grimace, and a quick, "School was great!"

Apparently that was not enough, and they questioned her further, asking her about every single detail of all her classes,( including lunch, which wasn't even a class!).

After almost an hour of interrogating, Sophie shooed away her parents, saying that she had a lot of homework she needed to complete.

Finally, Sophie had peace and quiet. It felt like an eternity had passed since she had time to think to herself. She silently approached her beanbag chair, which she kept in a corner near her bookshelf, and sat on it, thinking.

Why couldn't she be a normal teenager, with a normal purpose, and a normal life? Instead, she was the "Moonlark" with all these "special powers" that were supposedly to help her "save the Elvin world." It wasn't fair. If it were up to her, she would've walked away from her "job" a heck of a long time ago, and gone on to live a peaceful life. But it wasn't, and all Sophie could do was to follow all her given orders like some mindless blonde robot.

The sun was replaced with the glowing white moon. Sophie then walked to her desk and started her homework, which she had plentiful amount of and kept her up most of the night.

So, this was very short. Like I said I don't like short chapters, but it's hard y'know, to writewell and soon you run out of ideas.

Obviously this was a filler, which is also part of the reason why this was short—

***Queen Navya walks out, happy that she got some work done and can watch Youtube again, and sends Riya to the dungeon for questioning her place as the queen.
