Why was he here?

That was all Sophie could think about the moment she saw Keefe Sencen at Havenfield.

He was so devoted to the fight they'd had a few days ago. And Sophie knew that people didn't change overnight, just like that.

He had no business to be here, he didn't deserve the trust the other members of the Black Swan gave him, and he definitely, absolutely, should NOT be learning vital information about the organization.

That boy was good at sword fighting, telekinesis, and every other single skill in the Lost Cities. Sophie was unable to deny it, and she couldn't say she was surprised, after all, he was trained by the enemy.

Sophie wanted everyone to find out the truth about that boy.

She absolutley hated him.

Sophie wished she could take that boy and crumple him up into a ball, just like she had with her "plan" to find him. It seemed so long ago that she'd been daydreaming about him.

Like Sophie said, she now absolutely hated Keefe Sencen.

All of her friends quickly took a liking to Keefe. They all welcomed him, like they weren't aware that this was the boy who had once tried to kill Sophie. He and Fitz immediately became friends, and Sophie had even caught Biana trying to flirt with him. Heck, even Dex laughed at his jokes.

But Sophie wasn't fooled.

If she were allowed to, she would've read his mind the second he got here. She was sure the rules of telepathy didn't apply when she was dealing with a "former" Neverseen member.

But Mr. Forkle must've known what she was planning, as he had taken her aside for a talk.

"I know it might be hard for you to understand Sophie, but we're in a difficult place right now and need all the help we can get. So please, please try to play nice." he had told her.

Those were his exact words.

"Play nice."

Ha ha ha.

Sophie kept an eye on Keefe the entire time he was at Havenfield, and she never let him out of her sight, not even once. She ignored him, and pretended like he wasn't there, although Keefe didn't seem very affected by it.

She was sure that Keefe Sencen was still part of the Neverseen.

This was all an act, one that she was going to soon destroy.
