"HE DID WHAT?" Biana shouted, her head popping up from where she'd been laying on her bed.

Sophie winced. She'd made a trip to Everglen a few hours prior to rant to Biana about her boy problems, however she was now regretting her decision. "Biana, I'd appreciate if you didn't alert the world about my issues."

"Oh, sorry. He did what?" she said in a slightly quieter voice.

"Need I repeat myself again?"

"No, I just don't understand this. Why would Keefe take his anger out on you?" Biana stopped when she noticed Sophie's guilty expression. "Something you forgot to tell me?"

Sophie hadn't wanted Biana to know about her and Fitz's kiss, as she was his own sister, but judging from Biana's expectant look and arched eyebrow, she didn't have much of a choice.

With a sigh, Sophie repeated the story and braced herself for a bombardment of questions. When none came, she opened one eye tentatively and found Biana with a frown on he face.

"...Biana?"

"hm?"

"Um, anything you'd like to say?"

Biana's frown grew. "Well, I can't excuse my brother's actions. He had no right to treat you the way he did, especially without your consent. But more importantly, how do you feel about it?"

It was Sophie's turn to frown. She hadn't thought about it much, as the fight she'd had with Keefe had concerned her more, but she wasn't exactly sure about how she really did feel. Yes, she did agree with Biana, Fitz shouldn't have done that without any warning whatsoever, but she did find his actions kind of sweet. If only she replicated his feelings for her, they could've had a relationship together.

But she didn't.

And that was the problem.

Biana had been watching Sophie intently while she thought. "Oh, you poor child."

Sophie blinked in surprise.

"You know everything that happened, and yet you still don't know why he's mad at you."

"Care to enlighten me?"

Biana shook her head solemnly. "It isn't my place to tell. Maybe someday you'll realize."

Sophie scowled at her. "Well, thats reassuring."

Biana patted her shoulder. "Cheer up. Let's go get some Mallowmelt. It always makes these sort of things feel better.

Deal.

yes, both of these chapters were from sleepless nights. thats when I'm most productive as well. you guys don't know how much school stuff I've managed to get done in that time lol
