Sophie wasn't the type to hold a grudge.

She was more of the forgive-and-forget type of person. She didn't like blaming someone for actions that happened way way way in the past.

But this was an exception. This was a special case.

In other words, Sophie now had a grudge against Keefe.

No, this was more than that. Her loathing for him went beyond the boundaries of grudges.

She detested him. She despised him.

She hated him.

He had befriended her, convinced her to trust him, and worst of all, he made her fall for him.

Sophie had put up with many things. She was a warrior, a weapon, a fierce soldier.

But she had no idea how to handle heartbreak.

Sophie couldn't believe that she had liked someone like him, even if he was kind, funny, caring...

No. He was a traitor and thats all, nothing else.

He had made his decision.

Now Sophie had to get over it.

Sophie had given the Black Swan a brief message. She wasn't in the mood to go home yet. It would only remind her of what happened.

All her friends knew was that Sophie was safe. She couldn't even bear to speak his name without wanting to cry and punch something.

It wasn't fair. All the romance books she read always had that "and so they lived happily ever after."

Why couldn't it be that easy for her? (lmao sry ur the protagonist so u have to suffer)

Sophie had made a mistake thinking that Keefe could change. He was a pure Neverseen member, inside and out.

Theres always a chance he might change his mind, her heart sang.

She gritted her teeth. She wasn't going to wait for him to come to his senses.

It was his choice to betray her. It was his choice to deceive her. His choice to let her get captured.

But now, Sophie would make him pay the consequences.

This time, she was going to strike first.

And this time, she wasn't going to regret anything.

Keefe Sencen was going to wish that he'd never been born.
