"You look so beautiful!" My ma squeaked, giving me a twirl.
"thank you." I blushed, even though I felt a little self-conscious.
"Both you & your dad look amazing."
"We look that good?" I smirked, feeling a little bit of confidence.
"Of course." she smiles, "thanks to me & your grandma."
"I rate this outfit a good 8 out of 10." I rub my sweaty hands on my dress.
"What!" she gasped, "why a 8?"
"The shoes aren't really fitting in." I clap my heels together.
"I didn't pick those." she points to my shoes, in disgust. "Your dad did."
"Of course he did." I mumbled.
"We should be going now." she locks her arms with mine, "everyone is waiting for your arrival."
"What about daddy?" I asked, wasn't we suppose to arrive together?
"He's already there." she confessed, "he had to get there before the guest."
"Oh."
we exit the house with our arms still linked together as we walk down the sidewalk. my heels click against the ground because of how fast i'm walking. we approach the limo & happily hop in.
"He never mentioned a limo." I look over at my ma.
"He didn't want us arriving in a car so he decided that a limo would be better."
"I'm surprised he didn't get a horse carriage." I joke.
"That was his second option." she laughs.
"I love that man." I smile, my heart warmed at the mention of my dad.
———————————— 20 minutes later...
"Thank you." I said to the man as he opened the door for me.
"You welcome, princess." he bows.
I eye him weirdly, "um."
"Don't worry about it." my ma nudge my shoulder, "that's their job."
"that's weird." I whisper as we approach the front door.
"Yeah well you can thank your dad for that." she tells me before enter the house.
I smile as tears began to form in my eyes, "it's so beautiful."
