Chapter 44 : Needle in the Castle

Kyungsoo hummed quietly as he carried his basket of flowers through the halls, looking inside at the different colours of them when he smiled a little at the beauty of it.

His task was to replace the old flowers with new once all around the castle.
Sohyun had tripped earlier and almost collapsed of exhaustion it made him want to finish the rest on his own as it was now getting darker outside.

,, no no .. I deserved it, it was my fault .. but I dont know .. it's like hes on edge everytime ever since we last talked I dont know whats up with him " he heard jongins voice as he was about to turn around the corner and frowned when he heard jongdae reply.
,, you think its because of kyungsoo ?"

He didnt wait more as he took the final step still wearing a frown when he was now standing in front of them and they turned to him surprised.
,, what is because of me ?"

As he looked at the servant, jongdae instandly lowered his head. He hadnt really looked at him ever since that incident happened where he had almost died by the stoke of the Beach. kyungsoo could tell it was because he felt guilty and truthfully he didn't want to say he shouldn't. Because he did overreact and almost kill him, also did he cause him a lot of pain.
It was the servants fault but that doesnt mean he cant forgive him if he apologized.

,, well .. " jongin rubbed the back of his neck and kyungsoo now spotted how red jongins cheek was

,, what happened ?" He asked straight forward as he stepped closer to put the basket down and reach up to turn the princrs head and look at the redness.
,, ah ... my uncle.. it's nothing serious "

,, have you at least hit him back worse ?" Jongin removed his hands from his cheek looking around for if anyone else had seen, before he smiled shaking his head. ,, no I didnt .. and I spoke out of line I deserved that slap "

,, what did you say ?" Kyungsoo questioned looking over to see the servant still being extremely uncomfortable.

,, it was about solin .. queen sungyuri wasnt exactly pleased about the news and she blamed my uncle for it .. I was going to check on how solin is doing though. I havent exactly treated her fairly that's true.."
The siren sighed once again picking the bucket up. He wasnt surprised about jongins mindset, he probably still thinks kyungsoo was judging her or being jealous but he had told him before that he felt there was soemthing off about her.

But jongin she was still a friend. Even if she wasnt, he knew the prince would want to apologize or talk to her. Because that was just who he was and it would be a lie if he said it was something he disliked about him.

,, ok .. " he was about to walk past them again when he stopped hesitating as he voiced it in his mind first before speaking it,, just remember that her royalty does not make her a baby.. she was clearly abusing her past to get to you before.. do not be an idiot "
His hand reached down as he picked a flower out to hand it to him.

j-just know what you are doing alright, and tell jongdae he should stop being a coward and just face me with an apologie, he is making me just as uncomfortable as he is"

Once again jongin smiled stopping him once he has past him by holding his hand, it caused kyungsoo to turn only his head back to look at him, blushing lightly when he watched the princes loving smile.
