Corbyn's Point of View

*8th Grade, End of April*

Recently I had started a girl named Christina Harris.
I haven't told Michele, but that's what I'm going to do at lunch.

"Hey Michele," I said sitting next her.

"Hey Bean," she said.

That nickname never gets old, and it's the only nickname I have that nobody besides Michele is allowed to call me.

"How are you doing," I asked.

"Well, last night mine and Sage's dad called us and said that we have a half sister named Kora,"  Michele said.

"Wow," I said.

"That's we felt," Sage said sitting down. "We get to meet her next month."

"I have some news," I said.

"Tell us," Sage said.

"Well I have a girlfriend," I said.

As if she knew she was supposed to come at that moment, Christina sat next to me.

"Hi. I'm Sage and that's my twin sister, Michele," Sage said greeting Christina.

"Hi, I'm Christina Harris," Christina said. "Nice to meet you both."

Michele was just silent. She looked at Christina, smiled, and then got up.

"I just remembered that I have a library book to return," Michele said. "I'm gonna go do that now."

And then she just left.

"I'll talk to her later," Sage promised.

Michele's Point of View

*At Home Eating Dinner*

"What the hell was that earlier today," Sage asked as we ate dinner.

"What was what," I asked, knowing exactly what she was talking about.

"When Corbyn introduced his girlfriend," Sage asked again.

"It's a little hard to meet your crushes girlfriend," I snapped. "Especially when your crush is your best friend and you know he doesn't love you in that way!"

"Then why didn't you tell him sooner?"

"I didn't wanna screw up our friendship!"

We were just silent.

I know I screwed up by not telling Corbyn that I liked him sooner, but I was scared.
