Michele's Point of View
"What the actual fucking hell," I asked my friend.
"You heard me," Leilani said.
"And what if it doesn't work? What if I don't get pregnant? What happens then," I asked.
I was now standing up, and so was Leilani. Corbyn was holding my hand as he continued to sit on the floor.
"Then I'll have another dare for you," she said.
"Another dare," I asked.
"Yes," Leilani said.
The room was silent for minute until Melanie and Zach got up.
"The babysitter needs help," Zach said.
"We'll see you guys later," Sage said walking them out the door.
Everyone else watching Leilani and I.
"Why do you even want me to start a family," I asked.
"Because," Leilani said softly. "I don't want to go through the hell of raising child alone. I mean, Zach and Mellow will be help, and so will you guys, but I don't want to raise a baby alone."
"Wait are you," I aksed.
"I'm gonna be a dad," Jonah asked.
"Yeah," Leilani said.
"Lei, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that. Oh, I feel so dumb," I said, sitting next to my fiance and resting my head on his shoulder.
"It's fine," Leilani said.
"No it's not. We just stood there and yelled at each other. It's not good for the baby," I said.
Corbyn's Point of View
We all just sat there, looking at my hurting fiance.
She didn't move so I could tell she was almost asleep.
I stood up and she just watched me, a sleepy look in her eye.
I picked her up bridal style, getting to take her to her room when all of a sudden, Sage stopped me.
"Take her to your house," Sage said, putting the straps to a back pack in my hands.
"But wouldn't it be easier if she just slept here," I asked.
"I mean, yeah, it would be," Sage said. "But she needs to cuddle up next to you. While you were gone, everything was much more stressful for her. She made everything much more stressful for everyone. She was falling apart slowly, everyone could see it. You're her rock Corbyn. You're keeps her sane and happy and put together."
As Sage was giving me this speech, I ended up back on the couch, Michele sound asleep with her head on my lap.
"I'm gonna save the rest of that speech for at your wedding, but I promise that it'll be much longer," Sage said. "Now go home and talk your fiance with you."
I got up, picked Michele and her bag up and walked out the door that Daniel was holding open for me.
"And Corbyn," I heard Sage say. "Just spend time with her tomorrow. Don't worry about the wedding or anything like that. We'll take care of what needs to be done tomorrow. You focus on taking care of her and spending as much time as possible with her. She needs."
I nodded my head and walked in the direction of the car.
Once we were at the car I couldn't open the door. I knew she wasn't asleep yet, so I set her on the hood of the car.
Once her bag was in the car and the door was open, I helped her get in. Then I got in.
Once we were at my apartment, I carried her to my room. I set her on my bed but she wouldn't let go.
"Love, I need you to let go," I said.
"I don't want to," she mumbled.
"The sooner you let go, the faster I can get ready for bed, the sooner we can cuddle," I said.
"Can I have a t-shirt," she asked.
I tossed her one and she went to the bathroom to change.
When she came back out, I was already in bed with the lights off.
I felt the bed sink next to me, meaning she in bed too.
I felt her wrap her arm around my shirtless torso as she lied her head in the crook of my neck and held my hand.
"I missed this," she said.
"I did too," I said.
"I love you Bean," she said.
For some random reason, when ever she said those words and added her nickname for me to them, my stomach did a flip and my heart beat faster.
"I love you too," I said, rubbing the back of her head. "I love you more than you'll ever know."
