Corbyn's Point of View

The days flew by so fast.

When I talked to Michele, it was Tuesday.

Now it's Saturday afternoon.

I keep thinking about Michele's facial expression when I told her it was date.

She was happy, but confused.

"That's the biggest grin I've seen on your face since we went to the NASA Space Museum," Daniel said.

"What are you so happy about," Jack asked.

"Is it that one girl," Jonah asked.

"Isn't her name Michele," Zach asked.

"Yeah," I answered. "I've got a date with her tonight."

"I'm excited to hear about it tomorrow," Daniel said, sarcasm in his voice.

I was standing outside of Michele's apartment now, getting read yo to knock when a blonde girl  walked out.

"You must be Corbyn," she said. "I'm Kora, Michele and Sage's half sister."

"Nice to meet you," I said as we shook hands.

"Michele," she yelled.

"Your boyfriend's here," I heard Sage yell.

"He's not my boyfriend," Michele said.

"Yet," Sage said, laughing. "I mean didn't he say it was a date?"

"Oh shut your mouth," Michele said as she walked past Kora.

"See you later," we heard Sage and Kora yelled as we walked away.

"Thank god we got away from them. They sometimes drive me insane," Michele said.

"I can believe it," I said.

We were at my car now.

"How long is this drive gonna be," she asked.

"Depends on traffic," I said as I pulled out of the parking lot.

"Well I don't care how long it is, just as long as I don't have to go home any time soon."

"Well I hope our date isn't gonna be cut to short."

"Let's talk," she said.

"About what," I asked.

"Well we have't seen each other in four years," Miichele said.

"Well, I became a famous pop star," I said.

"I know. Your dream came true," Michele said. "I'm working at a NASA Space Museum and doing online college. How's your family?"

"They're good. Yours?"

"My mom is dead. Sage and I only have each other and Kora."

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine. You didn't know. It's not your fault."

"But I wasn't there for you. It's my fault. I walked out and didn't turn around."

"It's fine Bean."

We had made it to a clearing in a set of woods near by.

There was picnic set up and everything. Under the stars.

"This amazing," Michele said spinning in a circle.

"I'm happy you like it. I always came here to clear my head or when I needed a break from people," I said.

"That sounds, I don't know, relaxing," she said.

"Let's eat," I said.

"Oh finally food," she said, sitting down on the blanket.

I just laughed quietly to myself.

Why didn't I realize that I liked this girl before? Before everything that's happened? Before Christina?

I honestly don't know the answer to that.

All I now is that she's here now, and I love her.
