Sage's Point of View

*12th Grade, Middle of School*

Corbyn was coming over today, to help Michele with homework.

He was also bringing Christina with him.

Michele was getting all of her homework that she needed help with, ready in the kitchen.

The doorbell rang and I answered it.

In walked Corbyn and Christina, hand in hand.

*Later That Evening*

We were playing board games, Corbyn, Christina, and I.

Michele was "reading a book".

So I did the unthinkable.

"Michele likes Corbyn," I said. I knew I was going to screw everything up, but it needed to be put out into the world.

Michele's Point of View

I just stared at Sage in shock, after I dropped my book into my lap.

"What did you just do," I asked her, knowing that Corbyn and Christina were still in the room.

"He needed to know," my sister said.

"No he didn't," I said.

"Long," I heard Corbyn ask.

"Fifth grade," I said. "The day you helped me draw the circles for the math homework."

"Why didn't you tell me," he aksed.

"Because I didn't want to lose my best friend," I said holding back the tears.

All he did was grab his and Christina's stuff and leave.

I knew that was the last time I'd hear from my best friend.
