Jonah's Point of View
"DAMN IT JACK," Daniel yelled.
"What," he asked.
"You always win," I said said.
"It's technically Princess Peach who wins," Jack said.
"Well then," I said.
"FUCK YOU PRINCESS PEACH," Daniel and I yelled in unison.
"Jesus fucking christ," Leilani said as she entered the living room. "Are you three okay?"
"No," Daniel said.
"We lost to mother fucking Princess Peach," I said.
"Aw, you poor babies," Sage said.
I got up and grabbed by bat and a baseball and went into the backyard.
Every time I threw the ball and tried to hit it, I missed.
"Need some help," I heard a voice ask.
I looked up and saw Leilani holding the baseball.
"Yeah," I said.
She tossed the ball in the air and I hit.
We both raced to the ball to grab it. We both reached for it, making our hands touch. We looked at each other in that moment, I kissed her.
When I pulled away, I apologized.
"I'm so sorry," I said.
"It's fine," she said. "To be honest, I actually kind of like you."
I just looked at her and said, "I like you too."
"You do," she asked.
"Yeah, I do," I answered.
"Then, tonight, let's go on a date. Just me and you, and see what happens," Leilani said.
"Okay," I said.
"I should probably go," Leilani said as she looked up from her phone.
It had gone off as she was speaking.
"Eight," I said. "I'll see you at eight."
She gave me a thumbs up and then went inside, grabbing Kora and Sage on her way out the door.
