Sage's Point of View

When I entered my husband's hospital room, I saw his bright blue eyes eyeing the door.

"Hey," he said.

"Hi," I said sitting next to him.

"Kinda sad we don't we have any children at this moment in time," Daniel said.

"We technically do have kids," I said. "We've got Claire, Chance, Luke, Lisa, John, Julie."

"True," he said.

As I sat there, I looked at him.

"You okay," Daniel asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said. "Just wondering what everyone else is going through."

"How are the others," Danial asked.

"Everyone besides Corbyn is fine," I said. "He got hit the hardest. Nobody's seen Michele since she went to Chance's room. Kora took her kids. I could've but I know that Claire and them like to be with Kora and her kids."

"Makes sense," Daniel said. "There's something else on your mind isn't there."

"I'm worried for what will happen to Michele and Corbyn's kids if Corbyn doesn't make it. I know my sister won't be able to take on the responsibility of six, no, seven kids, if Corbyn doesn't make it," I said.

"Wait, seven kids," Daniel asked.

"Yeah, my sister, is uh, pregnant with another kid," I said.

"Corbyn has to make it," Daniel said. "I swear if he doesn't make it..."

"All we have to do is hope for the best," I said. "And if he doesn't make it, then we'll be there to help."

Daniel grabbed my hand, and we sat there looking at each other.
