Three days. Three whole days has Lexa's mind been running in circles refusing to let go of the small encounter she had just before going home. Three days has she not been able to focus on her work, and she's never felt so useless.
What was going on?! Lexa Woods. The Lexa Woods. The 29-year-old, self-made millionaire, who stays overtime for almost the equivalent of a second shift working when everyone else is fast asleep has once again been as unproductive as a bag of rocks sitting behind a desk. Hell, she's been more productive running on a 30-minute nap and 4 cups of coffee!
The whole company ran on the weight of her shoulders. If she didn't figure herself out soon, everything she worked so hard for could come crumbling down on her. And there was no way Lexa was going to let that happen. She's lost too many nights of sleep, never skipping a day of work, to just fail now. She's tried everything- workouts, sleep, distracting herself with paperwork, meetings, you name it. But nothing worked. Nothing could make her stop thinking about the girl she saw in front of her neighbor's apartment.
She stood in front of her wardrobe and stared at the small paper sitting on the shelf.
Maybe she should just-
No.
No way. No way was Lexa Woods, the CEO of Polis inc, going to call a prostitute.
Why would she even think of that? What would that say about her? What would that do to her reputation?!

It was an especially busy night for Lexa who, as always, spent her afternoon looking over business operations, rather than letting her assistants manage it. Only now, 14 hours into her "shift", did she decide that it was time to call it a day and get some well-deserved sleep before repeating the same cycle tomorrow.
She finally lifted her stiff body off her chair and rolled her shoulders in hopes of relieving some tension from them, before giving up and reaching towards her coat. Double backing towards her small desk mirror, she took a glance at herself. Her mascara was smudged, her forehead full of stress wrinkles, and her eye bags that grew each day- only to be covered with concealer and remain hidden from everyone else- were rather prominent.
For a short second, she considered fixing herself up, before deciding that she was the last one in the office and no one was going to see her until tomorrow morning anyway.
She quickly checked for any important emails she could've missed and headed out to her car.
Customarily, outside of the luxury apartment complex stood the same, and only doorman Lexa ever saw or knew, working his night shift. She forced out a smile and gave him a quick nod before heading in, straight towards the elevator going to the 16th floor.
She checked her phone.
8:46 pm.
Not bad. Still enough time to get a decent amount of sleep.
The elevator doors opened and the CEO stepped out, squinting her eyes from the glaring hallway lights. She focused on trying to find the right keys as she padded along the halls. Once she was almost at her door, a figure caught her attention.
She made eye contact with the girl heading out of her neighbor's apartment, dressed in nothing more than some red lingerie and a long trench coat that draped over her shoulders. As much as she wanted to deny it, Lexa definitely stared. And the second she realized how much her heart rate increased, guilt filled her body.
Jolting her head away she only imagined how embarrassed she made the blonde feel, catching her like that at an hour where almost no one was out wandering the halls.
But when she glanced back at her, she was instead met with a flirtatious look and a smug smile heading towards her.
Now standing almost right in front of her, the blonde didn't break eye contact and simply handed her a card before giving Lexa a wink and walking off.
