'This couldn't be happening. There was no way.' Lexa stared down at her lap staying dead silent. 'How. How?? No? No.' She just enjoyed the girls company... And sex.

There was no way she actually liked her- like had a crush on her like some stupid highschooler who wasn't aware of their own feelings- it was impossible. That was her 'client'. And Lexa never cared for many people out of her family, let alone clients- be it a different kind of client.

Was it impossible? For someone she didn't know she felt so comfortable around her. Clarke seemed to know her.

Maybe what her sister was saying was right. Maybe she really didn't socialize enough and now it's coming to kick her in the ass because she couldn't decipher her own feelings towards another person? Could she have possibly just formed such an emotional attachment because she had almost no other sense of companionship?

Did she like her?? Was she jealous?? Did she want to be with her or did she want to be her???

No. Lexa definitely didn't want to be a prostitute. But Clarke wasn't just a hooker, she was- well, Clarke. She was calm and collected, caring and sexy, she seemed so put together and happy with her own life.

Was Lexa jealous of that?

'No. Lexa, no. You're not doing this. Not now. Not ever. You're not going to ruin a good thing because you don't know what you want.'

She put her phone to the side and tried to focus on her work instead.

Except now an unresolved issue on Lexa's own emotional state was insanely nagging her.

She decided to give her work a break and try for another distraction. Suddenly she didn't mind her sisters heavy metal anymore...

"Anya, can you turn it up?"

"What?" The girl looked back her with a boggled stare. "Did I hear you correctly?"

"Yeah... I can't focus anyway."

Clarke set aside the lilac candle and continued to the cash register knowing damn-well Octavia and Bellamy were staring at her, confused. Looking at the balsam-scented candle, she still couldn't believe it's been more than half a year since she first hooked up with Lexa.

"Candles?"

She hid the receipt in her pocket before glancing over to Octavia. "Uh... Yeah."

"Strange, but okay." The girl didn't question further.

"Heh, it is." Clarke smiling, looking down at the present she just bought. It was strange- just not that Clarke was getting a candle, but how much Lexa enjoyed them.

Bellamy took a glance at the candle and then back at Clarke's innocent smile. Unlike his sister, he was more invested in Clarke's sudden purchase.

"You bought a candle?"

Clarke looked to him, taking her bag and hanging it over her shoulder. "Yeah.? I mean you literally saw me get it." She chuckled.

"Well yes, but why?"

"Because I wanted to? I don't know it's just a gift."

"Oh. For who? Raven? No offense, but I don't think that's what she's expecting for her birthday."

"Ha ha, real funny. No, I'm not that awful of a friend-"

Before Clarke could even finish, she was interrupted with Octavia, who suddenly gained a lot more interest in her candle.
"OooOh I bet it's for that chick you fuck."
