Making her way through the last few minutes of her shift, Clarke checked on the last patients on her roster. It was her favorite part of the day- the least stressful, the least demanding. And most importantly, it meant she got to go home after this.

Visiting the last room, she checked the patient's heart monitor before recording her final stats of the day.

Done. She could finally pull off her apron. She could finally stretch. She could finally leave the thick, anxious air in replace of the sweet, gentle breeze outside.

'Ah, how wonderful!' She inhaled the fresh air and the relaxation that came with it.

Yo, I'm waiting at the bus stop. Wya

One sec Rae. I just left the hospital

Alright. You said Madi's friend was over, right?

Yeah. That's not an issue, right?

Nah. It's all good. As long as we can still talk about ur lovely tea party ;)

'Oh no. She almost forgot her previous night until now,' Clarke groaned, definitely gathering the attention of a few passerby's. Suddenly her good mood was shot down with the thought of Raven prying any information out of her about her night yesterday.

She shouldn't have been upset about it. Her incident wasn't actually that bad. Quite the opposite, actually. Which was very much the problem.

Because she just spent all of today doing her best to forget about it. To not think about it. To not think about why her face was red when she was just being offered a cup of tea. To not think about just how sweet the girl was, and how that made her insides churn. To not think about the soft expression the girl held when talking to her- eyes filled with a wanting, but not a sexual one. To not think about how she avoided eye contact when telling her she should keep the clothes she gave her- that they looked good on her. How she just stared into her tea, pretending to be so focused on it. How her cheeks were painted the most beautiful shade of pink, too. How her hazel locks slid down from her shoulders, revealing the teeniest bit of skin. How absolutely perfect she was, in every way.

Clarke felt her heart rate rising, her hand instinctively reaching to her lips so she could bite her nail.

She shook her head.

Damnit, Raven. Fine.

:) Now hurry your ass up or I'm making you take the bus

She sighed, putting her phone away and heading away from the building. As promised, in front of the bus station, a shiny red Honda was waiting for her. A part of her resented entering. Maybe it was better to take the bus and not have to deal with Raven's pestering.

But she already promised to hang out.

"Hey, Griffin."

"Hey," Clarke replied, settling herself into the passenger seat, trying her best to change her track of thought. "Thanks again for picking me up."

The other girl adjusted her mirror, paying little attention to Clarke's hands scrabbling to catch everything from her bag before it could fall on her feet. "Of course, babe. How else was I going to get you to tell me all your embarrassing life stories without you running away?" she grinned.

'So much for thinking about something else.'

Clarke rolled her eyes. "Hilarious. No. I'm telling you it was the worst day of my life."

It wasn't a lie completely. It was just awful in a different way than Raven was expecting. But she didn't have to know.

"Worse than when you 'accidentally' fell asleep in bed with her?"
