"Ah yes, Alexa. My older sister. The attention seeker, the rich and popular girl that everybody always fears. It's just how she is. As a Richardsons, I'm kind of embarrassed. But, what can I do about it? She's my older sister and I have to love her the way that she is."

I'm doing a project for science on my older sister. We're going to be examining the genes of each of us and put it under a microscope to see what we have and don't have in common. And how am I going to do that? I need a lock of her hair. (Or a sample of her blood for extra credit).

In the middle of the night, I snuck into her room and went into her private bathroom, I found her brush with tons of loose hairs and pulled one out very gently. It was as thin as Angel hair pasta. I'd probably lose that hair, so I decided to take the whole brush with me.

I was halfway down the room when I heard a light switch.

"What the heck are you doing?"

Alexa was up, and she noticed her brush in my hand.

"Oh, you were secretly thinking about dying your hair blonde? Well, if you got blue contacts as well, you would look just like my sister and not like a cousin or friend."

That kind of made my blood boil. Yes, Alexa is a natural blonde with blue eyes, but she was raised kind of closed minded. She thinks that all siblings should have the same eye and hair color, when our parents have two genetic lineups with different traits.

Of course most of the time, things never go Alexa's way, and she freaks the freak out of freak. Even when I was born, she cried for a week because she thought mom was conceiving a giraffe. I'm sorry, last time I checked, humans don't conceive giraffes.

"Did you just come into my room to steal my brush? I thought that you had one with your hair on it?" Alexa asked.

Ok, Alexa just make assumptions like you normally do all the dang time.

"I..."

"Why do you always need me for something freaky? Who even raised you? Otvali! Otvali! Leave!"

I don't think that she noticed that I had her hairbrush still in my hands.

"whatever." I slightly scoffed at her before leaving her room.

"I'm going to tell mom and dad that they raised a freak!"

Like mom and dad would care, they know that Alexa is being over dramatic about nothing.

I took out every hair from the brush and tied it together in a hairband laying around. Of course, Alexa would never let me explain, she'll be like "I SAW WHAT HAPPENED!" and then she'll refuse to tell you what she saw unless you were her bestest friend in the whole wide world. Maybe if I were more prettier and acted exactly like her and looked like her, she would let me explain myself. But no, she refuses to listen. I don't think she even listens to her boyfriend.

What? I'm just being honest.

The next morning, I go downstairs to fetch some breakfast for myself when I see Alexa doing her usual accusation and mom and dad looked like they wanted to literally strangle her. As soon as i came down the stairs, I could feel her witching gaze on me.

"YOU! YOU TWO INSOLENT IDIOTS RAISED A WEIRD, UGLY, SMELLY, FAT LESBIAN THAT RAIDED MY ROOM FOR MY HAIRBRUSH! I AM NOT TAKING HER TO SCHOOL TODAY!"

Dad rolled his eyes.

"If you don't apologize to your sister in one minute, I will take away your car."

"How can YOU take away MY car?" Alexa asked to him.

"While you're out with your friends doing god knows what and blowing money like a blow Job, we are the ones that pay for everything! Your car insurance, your clothes, your food, and whatever services that you want. As your parents, we can cut off whatever we want whenever we want."

"But dad! I'm 18!"

"As long as your live under my roof, then you will obey MY rules!"

"Whatever! F school! I didn't want to go today!"

Dad smirked.

"I heard Chance bought you some chocolates, he's going to be waiting for you."

"OH YAY!"

Alexa took her keys and her stuff and ran out the front door.

Meanwhile, dad and mom looked at me.

"Alexa was flipping out over me trying to get some hair for a science project. I know, it's weird. But, science teachers will do anything to make their classes more interesting and motivating, so I just needed some hair and Alexa had a literal dramatic breakdown on one little thing. Or if I asked her either way, she would flip out."

Mom seemed more concerned at all of the insults that Alexa threw at me.

"But, are you sure that you are ok? After all of those things that Alexa said to you. I know that you are my daughter, but just remember that's it is ok to let your emotions come out."

She held my hands.

"I'm used to it, mom. I'm used to it."

She smiled and slapped me on the back.

"Ok, just make sure to make time for yourself, ok? Go to school, baby. You'll be late and god knows that Alexa probably drove off. You know what? I'll drop you off on the way to work!"

Jackpot.
