"Great, now Alexa's on my trail. If she says anything to Adrian, then I'm dead. I don't even know if Adrian likes me back. I think he does but I don't know for sure. Mom and Dad would probably find out shortly, but I don't want them to know right now, I don't feel comfortable. Yet."

Ever since Alexa found out that I liked Adrian, she started teasing me and nearly breaking my cover a lot of times. She nearly dropped hints many times and that's when I had to shut her up somehow.

"It's so cliche that you like a friend of yours." We were driving one day to school.

Because of my crush, she started being nicer and talking to me more like a sister giving advice and not being nitty at me for no reason.

That's when she comes into my room and lays on my bed.

"So, you want some romantic advice, waiting on a way to get the boy of your dreams? As somebody who knows when somebody is in love, I know that you have a childish like crush. Let me teach you on the many ways of love. There's the childish love, a growing love, an obsessive love, and a toxic love."

"What kind of love do you have with Chance?"

Alexa was silent for a moment and looked away at me and looked at the door.

"A growing love." Her voice suddenly sounded tense and she crossed her arms.

I knew that was a lie off the bat, but I played along.

"It's a love just like mom and dad. We started off as friends and then we got to know each other. And look at us now, we're a couple."

It seemed like she was hiding something.

"Ok, what do you think about Jessica being with you and Chance? Don't you find anything suspicious about her and Chance? What if you go to the bathroom and you see them making out?"

"They would never do anything like that to me. They know who I am and they won't mess with me. Because I'm the richest out of the 3 of us. And why are you asking stuff lime that? What about Cassie? How does she feel if she was in the role of Jessica?"

"Cassie used to like Adrian, but only in elementary school, but because they have conflicting traits, that's what makes them different. Cassie is more outgoing while Adrian is more shy."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"Ever notice if something was ever going on between the two of them?"

"They have my back and I have theirs. What else is there to say?"

"You say your words like you are lying. Please tell me, I'm your sister."

"You're my younger sister, you would never understand these kinds of things! You experienced nothing, ok? Nothing! And you never will! From the moment you were born, you were born to live this life that mom and dad forced on you heavily and that affected your train of thought and made you all work work work. You know nothing."

And that's when she left the room, shut the door, and left me speechless.
