"I haven't made a video in so long because I've been studying for midterms. Yep, finally, I am the definition of sleep deprived, I don't think I slept in like a day and a half. Why do exams have to come now? Why now? Quarterlys first and then midterms? Ugh, the next time I make a video, I will have finally slept, ate an actual meal, corn out of my room, and hopefully pass my exams."
Oh boy, it's exam week. The second quarter is coming to a close. And I am not ready for 7 exams. 7, even gym and swimming have exams, but they are physically tiring, not mentally.
Here's my schedule so you don't get confused on quarterly week.
QUARTERLIES FOR 2ND QUARTER
Monday 1/21: English I and Math I
Tuesday 1/22: English II, Math II, GCP
Wednesday 1/23: History
Thursday 1/24: Science
Friday 1/25: P.E and SwimI am the most worried about GCP and Swim. English and Math are simple, Science is eh, History is a piece of cake, the gym quarterlies are like a bootleg Olympics. GCP challenges you to think critically but get the solution exactly correct and swim is a competition with requirements that you have to get under a certain time or else you won't get a hundred or if you do extremely bad, pass at all. What confuses me is that they grade a sport. A SPORT.
I will let you know how each day has gone.
January 21st: In English, today was the day where you had to annotate a text. Seem fair enough, until you realize that you have to do a Shakespeare text. SHAKESPEARE. How do you do that? Knowing my English teacher, I'm not surprised, he can get very creative with his assignments. He's a outside of the box type of person.
Math was a huge 10 page packet with 10 problems per page varying from matrix's to trigonometry to slope and I just felt my brain overheating from going from page to page and getting made on the inside because there is a matrix on the first page and then another on the seventh. Sometimes, I think math is hell.
January 22nd: Good morning, I am not dead yet (somehow)
Hold up, does this teacher seriously want me to create my own Shakespeare play? With little to no knowledge on Shakespeare words? Oh wait, never mind, there is a key. But this is still bad. Like, look at this question.
"By reading the text and annotating, use this time to create a one of a kind play with Shakespeare diction, 1 scene at least."
I somehow did it.Math wasn't that bad, the packet actually had a puzzle on the back, that's why there were problems jumbled. And there were letters in the corner.
Here's my answer:
"Do not judge a math textbook by its cover. There are many more books that hold an unflattering cover than you think."
I don't think my math teacher can count.GCP MAKES ME WANT TO THROW MY BRAIN INTO A GARBAGE CAN JUST LIKE SQUIDWARD DID UGH I HATE BEING BIG BRAIN.
Wednesday January 23rd and Thursday January 24th:
Hi, I'm too tired to write anything for these days.
But, History was easy, definitely.
Science was not that hard but not a walk in the park.Friday January 25th:
I basically nearly died after running a mile. Yeah, I have legs. No, track running does not run in my family. Almost got sacked in the face with a. Basketball and nearly collapsed in dodgeball.
And finally, I fainted in Swim. Just before it was my turn, I became so exhausted that I passed out with a towel wrapped around me. I don't remember anything other than 3 people surrounding me and muffled voices.
You know, I know something like this was going to happen. Welcome to my life. The Katherine Ruby Ricahardsons life. Enjoy your stay and don't ever wish you were me, ever. Because I have the tendency to faint and unless you give me some sparkling water, I am not getting up.
I once passed out in 2nd grade and some younger kid gave me their juice box and I felt relived.
