"Goooooooood morning! In the blink of an eye, you never know what could happen, am I right? Well, I think so. Yesterday, it felt like the beginning of March and today is Cassie's birthday! March 11th. So, she is now 15 and I already bought her a present. Hey, I should get my friends to come on camera so you can meet them! Until then, farewell."
"Happy birthday!" I give Cassie her present at the beginning of the day. What did I give her? I gave her a BTS lightstick, a handful of her favorite Kpop albums WITH PHOTOCARDS, and I bought her a ticket to Kcon extra early.
"No way! How did you get the ticket to Kcon?" She asked.
"I know some people through my dad's business that have daughters and sons obsessed with kpop."
"Oh my gosh! Thank you Kat! I love you so much."
She jumped out of her seat and hugged me and that's when Adrian came around.
"Morning. Woah Cassie, you are being a lot more touchy than usual."
"You will not believe it, Adrian! Kat here got me some cool thingy things!"
Adrian patted her head.
"You always get so excited over presents."
Cassie laughed and started going into a laughing attack.
"Cassidy Marie Silva! What are you doing?" Adrian asked.
"Ok, fine then Adrian Alexander Maes Levi."
"How did you know that I also secretly use my grandmothers name as well?"
"I just known you for a while. And, we're friends. Of course I know everything about friends."
"Everything?" Adrian raised an eyebrow.
"Everything." She looked at Adrian and I and winked.
I knew what she meant when she did that.
Cassie is possibly the type of third wheel in her head that has sass and if Adrian and I went on a date, she would pretend to be a waiter and serve us. And, Cassie probably gets all of her romantic ideas from anime and Otome dating simulators.
"Sheesh. You two are awfully quiet. Do you want me to leave you two alone? The one day, you two were super duper close. And Adrian, didn't you whisper something in Kat's ear? I didn't hear it, but if it wasn't or my quick thinking, Kat would probably have gotten kidnapped."
Probably not kidnapped but majorly creeped out. With those two stupid Lyons boys, I felt like that one main character in an anime that is simply irresistible for no reason at all. I mean, like I exist. Even i think that my sister is prettier than me.
Adrian and I looked at each other, flustered.
"My my my! Even you two look at each for reassurance. Don't worry, I know your secrets! I won't tell anybody!" She winked and walked away, kind of skipping.
It was silent for a moment, and we couldn't gather the words to say to each other.
That's when Cassie came back after a minute.
"Actually, I need to stay by you guys. I know nobody else here."
We walked to the library and Cassie seemed to be stuck in a manga book that was titled "Fresh and Fried"
"You should read this manga! Fresh on the shelf! It's about a transgender girl that works at a fast food place when one day, a gay man with class and who used to run a high class fresh food restaurant, comes in and says that they have to share the place! It's extra good and comical!"
She passed me the book and the page that she was on showed a boy accidentally bumping into the girl and they were kissing. The girl looked like she slipped on a banana peel.
Adrian looked over my shoulder.
"I hope one day, that is the two of you." Cassie whispered and winked.
"Cassie!" We both said.
"Oh, who said a girl couldn't dream. And matchmakers basically reside in dreamland, everybody knows that fact!"
