"In a blink of an eye, so much time can pass. Really, I'm serious on that. How it felt like yesterday when I started making these little clips of me and although some times have been awkward and such, I can't believe that the last month of freshman year is coming right up. It felt like yesterday when I got this little film camera and started talking to it. I feel as I mature, everybody else grows up around me."

Everybody matures in their own way, it could be a physical change: like losing the baby fat on your face, or a mental change: you learned a lot more about life and if you said something bad, you educated yourself, or it could be an emotional change: you got a grip on your emotions, or maybe you just matured in general.

When you mature, you get more of a grip on the world it seems. It's like unlocking a new part of a map or maybe even finally being tall enough to try the scariest rollercoaster at Six Flags.

To me, it feels like I haven't really matured at all. Other than maybe loosing just a tiny bit of baby fat in my face, but that's it really.

Adrian lost baby fat and became a little bit more outgoing, while Cassie decided to change having her cyan highlights to blonde to make it a little more natural looking.

As you age, you change your style little by little as it seems.

Some people seem to never mature that much at all, like Alexa, in fact, sometimes, change can happen in the opposite direction.

Some people even hate the thought of change.

"Why should I change myself if I love every part of my life?"

That's what they say, but the sad fact is that after a while, they get used to that change and they never think about how they hated it in the first place.

But, why am I talking about change? I have a story to write and a life to live so I need to stop daydreaming.

"Kat! Kat! Kat!" Alexa snapped her fingers in front of me while I was daydreaming.

"Jesus, you're just like mom." She mumbled.

"MOM! DAD!" She yelled at the top of her lungs and that's when the two of them ran down the stairs.

"Guess what happened?" Her mood suddenly went from pissed off to me and now it's suddenly happy.

"Chance and I are in the running for Prom King and Queen!"

"Oh, Alexa, that is simply wonderful." My mother clapped her hands.

"My, how my daughter is growing up so fast." My dad nearly shed a tear.

I knew what was going to happen in this situation. Since both Alexa and Chance have money, they are going to bribe people to vote for the two of them respectfully and say that they like each other and that's when they would confess to each other. Or, they would buy an insane amount of votes to secure a definite lead, because your first vote is free, but every one after that costs like $1 each. I know this kind of stuff because junior year, Alexa was babysitting me and Jessica was there, and they were talking about prom and such.

What do I think about prom?

Not really my thing, I just don't get the hype of it, like yeah, you spend the last few days with your high school class and yeah, drama happens, but like, it's a party and there are people.

Mom and Dad didn't go to prom, but that's because at the time, they didn't have a lot of money to get dolled up in the first place. And besides, they preferred casual parties and things like that, like New Years and Christmas.
