3:16am
With the night filled with playing, laugher, singing, educational teaching for children and lastly supper, it all came to a peaceful end with Killua sleeping on the couch and yourself sitting upright on the floor - asleep on your forearms that rested on the same couch, delicately holding Killua's hands next to a warmly lit fire.
As much as you wanted to sleep right next to Killua - keep him in your embrace, Hisoka's words kept echoing throughout your mind the whole night. The second you found yourself feeling happy and enjoying your time with Killua, his hurtful comment always kept you back in line. He did remind you of your brother, and the fact that he did made you unbelievably scared because you would never be able go on in life if something happened to Killua.
The fact that you also managed to fall asleep without that horrid man's jacket, showed how familiar Killua felt.Your slumber was so deep, you didn't hear everyone come back and had took a seat on the couches.
Looking at the scene below him, Illumi knelt down to you and analyzed everything very closely. The way you made sure his brother was covered, how you held his hand, the fact that you fell asleep in this position rather than to leave his brother's side unattended.
"I made the right choice to get you to look after Killua." Illumi almost inaudibly whispered, ghostly brushing your side fringe back away from your face, making you stir just a little from the cold tips of his fingers.
"Heh, I thought you gave up on making her your bride." Hidan teased before taking a sip of an ice cold beer.
"Cheers to another successful night." Sabastian raised his glass of wine in the air before elegantly sipping.
"Here! Here!" Grimmjow lowly yelled, being surprisingly considerate of your sleeping state - knowing full well you going to need it more than ever now that he knew your plans were to start taking speed again.
Featherly pulling up your thin strap of sleeve that fell down, back up your shoulder. Illumi withdrew his hand from you and remained kneeled, staring at your sleeping face. All under the watchful eye of a silent Hisoka.
With menial soft chatter going about, all voices came to a sudden halt when the doorbell chime echoed throughout the house.
"Who the fuck is at the door?!" An on edge Grimmjow hoarsely whispered.
"Did you close the gate behind us Sabastian?" Uta asked.
"Y-yes I'm sure I did."
"Then who the fuck could've entered if it was?!"
At the second doorbell, your tired eyes finally fluttered open. Elevating your head up, you got a bit startled upon seeing everyone seated.
The doorbell rang again. Being confused why no one was answering, you noticed how everyone seemed to look at you - expecting something.
"W-why are all of you staring at me?" Fear and nervousness started to bubble in your stomach.
"Answer the door." Hidan instructed rather quietly, as if he didn't want his voice to be heard.
Knowing resistance was going to be futile with 6 guys that seemingly looked at you with the expectation, you got up, straightened your dress and fixed your hair. Just before leaving, you felt a tiny hand tug at yours.
"Mm.." A sleepy Killua whined, lifting his arms up as an indication he wanted to be carried. Securing him comfortably in your arms, Killua wrapped his arms around your neck and snuggled against your neck. Waiting for him to settle down in your arms, you made your way to open the door.
