You laid on the metal stands with your arm over your eyes to block out the sun as you waited for Renji finish change and come out. You could never understand why it took so long for him to just put a pair of shorts on, he loved being shirtless especially on hot days, so what was the hold up.
Feeling the heat ease off your face, you moved your arm to see someone sitting next to you to block out the sun. Waiting for your eyes to adjust to the dramatic light change, a small frown creased your forehead at the sight of who it was.
"Came here to break this ripen fruit Joker?" You rudely questioned Hisoka, not entirely feeling threatened by him right now because the heat drained you.
Sinisterly chuckling down at you, the sound of a small crackle came from his pocket.
"Here."
Seeing a packet of chocolate coated candy eggs hover over you, you looked suspiciously up at Hisoka.
"It's not rigged. If I wanted to rape you I would've done it long ago and easily." He comically reassured your doubts.
Giving him the benefit of the doubt, you gratefully took the small packet. Unaware, your fingers lingered over Hisoka's slender ones for a few seconds more than it should. Pulling away the instant you realized, you brushed it off, reasoning it to be because his fingers felt nice and cold compared to this unbearable heat.
"Why though?" You asked before slipping the pack of sweets in your pocket for later.
"Mm~"
"I saw you give your food away to Renji."
Laughing a bit, you closed your eyes to enjoy the few moments of shade Hisoka was giving you. "Definitely not stalking me to rape me huh?"
"But yeah, perks of being friends with guys. Your species is always hungry."
"At least that Itachi of yours shared with you."
"Hm yeah he's an angel to me." The tone of your voice noticeably got gentler at the mention of his name.
"How long you and him have been dating?"
Sighing at that question, it didn't surprise you anymore because it was a rumor that stuck with you ever since the beginning of high school. But to be fair it wasn't a bad rumor, because both you and Itachi didn't mind people thought that. It didn't affect the two of you in any way.
"We aren't dating we are just best friends. Like really close."
"Mm~If you say so." Hisoka responded not entirely convinced.
"Oi y/n come let's go."
Dreading to move, you groaned in resistance to Renji.
"If you don't participate you'll get kicked out of your 2nd place in the grade." Renji cleverly commented.
Instantly sitting up, you crossed your arms and glared down at Renji that was at the bottom of the mental stands.
"It's not fair. Itachi doesn't even need to do PE at all and he's first in the grade." You yelled back down to him.
"Yeah that's because he is a natural genius that totals almost all his tests, so he doesn't need too. You not a natural genius."
"Hey what the -"
"You are a hardworking genius, that's the difference." He finished his sentence before you could jump to conclusions.
Biting your lip embarrassingly at your almost outburst, you narrowed your eyes at Renji. "You are lucky you said that otherwise I would of came down there."
