Part 8 - Sit Down

"What's happening?" I asked again, but two men grabbed Lucas and forced him to the ground, tying his arms behind his back.

He tried to swing at them and get them off of him, but despite his great strength was overpowered by the two men together. They did the same with Winwin, tossing them both side by side before a man who looked to be the leader, judging from the way he was dressed compared to the others. He had jumped onto the ship with an evil grin on his face. 

My heart was racing, but I could not get up from the floor. My entire body ached. What could I even do?

*C* "Well, well, well. You've made a grave mistake, haven't you?" The leader began pacing back and forth in front of them while a bunch of his men seemed to be searching the ship. 

Lucas shook his head in defeat, and Winwin looked deeply saddened. 

Then the leader walked over to me slowly. 

Lucas looked at me with great worry in his eyes.

 He leaned down and put a hand on my chin, forcing my head to rise to meet his eye level. 

*C* "And you have a little treat with you. What's your name, darling?" He said with a smirk on his face, and when I didn't respond, he shoved me away violently. I felt like I had whiplash.

"She does not speak our language!" Lucas defended me, but then had to translate himself to them.

The man kept eye contact with me, with an evil grin on his face that was all too familiar. 

*C* "Well you can speak both, can't you?"

When I turned to try and look at them the man snapped my head back to face him. 

"What's going on Lucas?" I asked.

"They are going to imprison us."

"What are you guys delivering?" I asked, concerned at what I had got myself into.

 Lucas tried to respond, but one of the henchmen struck him in the face.

*C*"Shut your mouth!" He yelled.

I felt my eyes fill with tears again, and the leader grabbed the collar of my shirt, yanking me to my feet. I squealed, and he attempted to release me to stand, but I stumbled and fell back down. The man grabbed my foot that was broken and I yelled loudly in pain, He released it, realizing I was injured.

He gestured towards me, and then two men grabbed my arms, bringing me back to my feet.

The leader walked back to Lucas.

*C* "What did you do to her?" He growled.

 When Lucas didn't say anything, the man screamed in his face and then struck him again, and blood was now coming out of his nose.

"No! Fucking stop it!" I flailed my arms and tried to break free of the men's grip on me.

I got one arm loose and squirmed out of the other's grip, but I fell to the ground immediately. I quickly crawled to Lucas, but the leader grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me to my feet again.

"How you say, nice try?" A man laughed from behind him.

"Zeda, I don't want them to hurt you. If you just cooperate, they shouldn't do anything."
