Lucas and I were both awoken seemingly the next day, there were no portholes in the cabin so we could not tell the time of day. Lei was again standing with two men before us.

*C* "Rise and Shine." He said with a smile. *C* "Will she eat breakfast?" 

"Are you hungry, Zeda?" Lucas asked me.

"I'm not eating until they feed you guys, too." I said sternly.

*C* "She is angry?" Lei asked, confused.

Lucas repeated my words to him. 

Lei laughed and shook his head. *C* "She will change her mind."

*C* "And if she doesn't?" Lucas looked at him angrily.

Lei shrugged.

*C* "You're going to let her starve?"

*C* "Come on, now. Let's go. I want to get her cleaned up and put you two to work." He said, changing the subject and motioning for his men to retrieve us.

One went to each cell to collect the boys and Lei came into mine, grabbing me by the arm and leading us all to the deck. 

It must have been early. The sun hadn't risen yet and the moon was still visible in the sky. The wind was cold and made me shiver. I had forgotten to grab my sweater back from Winwin. As if these guys would let me.

Lucas looked concerned at Winwin's mental state and assured him we'd be okay. He spoke in English so the men around us couldn't understand.

"This is very odd. They usually kill their men while taking the ship, not after." Winwin said.

Lei abruptly stopped our walking and turned around to scowl at Lucas.

*C* "You are lucky you even got a warning you imbecile, now stop disobeying my orders before I am forced to discipline you." He raised his voice at him.

With Lei still holding my arm, I yanked him away from Lucas. He turned and glared at me. I had almost forgotten he had hurt me twice for simply not understanding his words, now I was yanking on his arm. I flinched and fell with my legs bent, covering my head expecting a strike to hit, but Lei simply moved my arms away and looked at me sternly.

*C* "Tell her to never ... do that again. I am not afraid to hit a woman." He said, staring into my eyes. I could tell him and Vince would be wonderful friends.

We continued walking.

"He says be careful, he's an asshole Miss Zeda, he just admitted it." Lucas said.

Winwin chuckled a little, making all the men grow even angrier. Lei again turned back to Lucas.

*C* "I swear to god, if you two were not with her I would have beheaded you on sight and put your bodies into barrels of acid."

Lei raised his arm to strike Lucas, but I stopped him.

Lei groaned and threw his hands in the air and then harshly down at his sides.
