Going back in time a few hours to about three in the morning, Lucas wakes from a dream of Zeda, but not a nightmare. It was peaceful, and beautiful.
But still when his eyes opened and he was on Chaz's couch and not in a field of sapphire roses with Zeda in his arms, his chest felt heavy again and his eyes grew watery.
Winwin had woken up to use the restroom and was walking out of the spare bedroom. It was dark, and he was led only by a small light above the stove in the kitchen. He heard a sniffle come from the couch and stopped, with his hands in his pockets.
"Lucas?" He asked.
"Yes?"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah." Lucas again sniffled.
Winwin sat on the floor beside the couch, still not being able to see Lucas but knowing his general direction.
"Everything will be okay, Lucas." He attempted to reassure him.

Lucas tapped on his phone light to see the room around him, and he sat up.
"Yeah, man." He said, rubbing his face sleepily.
"Do you ... dream of her?" Winwin asked.
Lucas sighed and rubbed his hands together with a nod.
"Are they good? Or bad?"
"Both."
It was silent for a minute and Lucas's phone went black. He tapped it back on.
"We will save her." Winwin got to his feet and put a hand on Lucas's shoulder.
"Even if they don't answer, we can look them up. Ask people. Find her parents. We will find a way."
Lucas managed a smile and nodded. "I know I just ... I was so terrible to her." He paused. "I don't know if she will take me back."
"Lucas, I guarantee she is just as worried about you as you are her." Winwin patted his shoulder and then walked away to the restroom.
Lucas let out a big sigh and laid back down to sleep.
When Winwin walked back out he said goodnight to Lucas before entering the spare bedroom.
"Goodnight." Lucas replied.
