The sun was finally showing itself after days of hiding behind the crying clouds, and it was high in the sky, leaving the air hot and wet from the ocean's mist.

Lucas walked up onto the ship to the two boys standing with their arms crossed.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Johnny scolded him.

*C* "Next time you decide to run off we are not chasing after you. It has been twice now we are out in the rain looking for you and worried!" Winwin complained.

"I know guys. I'm sorry." Lucas apologized.

"Anyway, there's something we need to tell you." Johnny said excitedly, hoping Lucas would feel better knowing the picture may have been fake.

"If it's about her, I don't want to hear it." Lucas said, heading towards the entrance to the cabin, shooing them with his hand as he walked past them.

"What?" The boys asked, baffled at what they had just heard.

"You don't mean Zeda, do you?" Winwin asked.

"Just - don't even say her name anymore. We need to just forget about her."

The boy's jaws dropped.

Winwin was beyond angry and stressed out over the drama Lucas and Zeda had brought onto everyone and him caring for both of them made him feel twice the hurt for both of them. The anger suddenly took over him and he decided to take it out on Lucas.

*C* "What have you done with Lucas?" He approached him aggressively, pushing him a little.

*C* "Woah, calm down." Lucas backed away from him.

*C*"How can you say those things about her."

*C* "I'm not saying anything. I'm just asking that we don't talk about her anymore." Lucas defended himself.

Winwin groaned and shoved Lucas aside, walking down into the cabin, frustrated.

The other boys followed.

Lucas went to his room to get changed and shower, and afterwards decided to go into the living room, but was met with the two boys waiting on the sofa.

"Where did you go last night?" Johnny asked Lucas.

Lucas waited to reply until he was seated in the recliner.

"Ya' know you guys sound like parents." Lucas said.

"Where the hell did you go?" He repeated.

"I just ... sat in an alley."

"An alley?" Winwin questioned.

Lucas nodded.

"In a storm?" Johnny asked.

Another nod.

"In a town you don't know?" Winwin added.

And that came with a shrug.

"Lucas, you have been really going off lately. I mean putting yourself in danger isn't going to help anything." Johnny leaned forward towards Lucas who was facing the blank TV and away from the guys.

He sighed. "I told you I don't want to talk about her anymore."

"Is that what you've decided after sitting in the rain all night?" Winwin asked angrily.

"Well, sort of. I've actually ..." Lucas paused before continuing, not wanting to admit his settlement of his plans.

"What?" Johnny asked after a while of silence.

Lucas again sighed. "I've decided to just let my parents do what they wish with my future."

The boy's jaws again hit the floor.

"You mean marry Biyu?" Winwin raised his voice.

Lucas nodded.

"Dude what happened to you?" He protested.

"You have been against that since your parents introduced you two." Winwin said.

"Well, if I would have just listened to them, I wouldn't have gotten myself into this mess."

"Dude did the rain melt your brain away?" Johnny joked. "I thought you two were inseparable. That you would fight for her."

"What don't you get?" Lucas grew angry and turned to face them. "She broke my heart. We need to just forget about her and go home." Lucas said sternly, with pain in his voice.

He knew deep down he would hate the future his parents had laid out for him.

A loveless marriage, a dead-end boring job and a house in the same town he grew up in and would probably never leave again after that. A life exactly like theirs, that he dreaded so greatly.

All his parents did was work, the only time they got to get out of the house was on short vacations, and they would travel on his father's ship. That was Lucas's favorite thing to do. Being out on the sea. His parents were letting him sail and be on his own until the wedding, which a date hadn't been set for.

Giving in like he was, would mean when he returned to China, he would enroll in university, get the same job as his father, have an arranged marriage just as his parents did, and live just a few blocks over from his parents, in a house they had already had their eye on for Lucas and his bride.

He wanted to fight for Zeda but was so exhausted from everything. He felt more like giving up. She was already at home and was with someone else. What was he to do? Fly all the way out there just to be humiliated and rejected?

Lucas got to his feet. "Can we go unload the rest of this stuff and get out of here?"

The boys sighed and obliged, unloading their ship entirely and then settling down for dinner that Winwin prepared later that day.

The two of them tried to keep their mouths shut, so as to not anger Lucas but by the end of dinner, when the ship was going to take off, they couldn't take it anymore.

"Lucas, I need to talk to you." Johnny said as Lucas washed the dishes.

"I'm sorry to be rude but I really don't want to hear it, Johnny. You don't know how it feels."

"You're right, Lucas. I don't. But the information that I have might help you feel better."

"What could possibly make me feel better, Johnny? What, let me guess you found a new girl for me? Because you think Zeda is just another girl and is replaceable and I'm overreacting."

"Lucas just hear me out for a second," Johnny said but Lucas cut him off.

"I know I'm being rude, but I just wish you guys would leave it alone. She's gone."

Johnny sighed, wondering if he should just come out and say it.

But before anyone said anything, Johnny's phone rang in his pocket and when he pulled it out, he saw it was Vince's number.
