After being casted to the sea, thrown off the cruise ship she was on by her own boyfriend, what Zeda thought was her biggest problem turns out to be only the beginning. She's rescued by a foreign man, Lucas, & his two friends Johnny & Winwin. Togeth...
As the door creaked back open, I was awakened. Out of curiosity I waited a few minutes and then limped my way to the kitchen.
When I peeked around the corner, I saw Lucas laying on the couch. He seemed to be on his phone, but it must not have been working because he tossed it onto the carpet floor in frustration and finished a piece of sausage that he had on a fork in his hand.
He sighed, and then set the fork onto the empty plate he had on an end table behind him and rolled over onto his side. He rubbed his eyes and then got to his feet.
I quickly hid myself, but he didn't leave the living room as I thought he would.

When I turned back, he was holding something in his hands with a mix of emotions. He had a look of longing and sadness. Focusing closer, I could see he was holding my dress that I had come here in. When he moved it, the sparkles shined in the light from the ceiling fan.
He said something in his native language, sighing and then getting up to put it back in a laundry basket in the corner.
I walked back to my room and went back to sleep with a smile on my face.

In the morning Johnny woke me up and brought me to breakfast, still no Lucas. Not even in the living room. I did see that he left my dress folded and cleaned on the end table in his room. And at lunch, no Lucas. I finally grew the courage and decided to sneak away and find him.
I ... missed him. I wanted to know more about him.
Johnny and Winwin went to do things around the ship, and I led them to believe I was going to shower and take a nap. I crept up the stairs and saw that they were both in the control room. I went to the opposite side, where the pool was, and kept walking after that. I saw a rope tied to the railing and I peered over the edge of the boat. I saw Lucas with the rope tied around his waist hanging near the water, seeming to be fiddling with something on the side of the boat. It must have been the propeller.
"Hey." I called down to him. He seemed startled and almost dropped what was in his hand into the water but caught it.
"Miss Zeda, what are you doing up here by yourself?" He seemed frustrated but not at all rude.
