They were all hungry, but after looking at all the food Vince had brought, they decided they wanted to wait until Zeda returned, knowing she was probably just as if not hungrier than they were. Except for Chaz, who dug in and ate until he was full.
The guys criticized him but ultimately let him, not wanting to deny someone food after three days of not eating. They all at least took bottles of water to sustain themselves. The two didn't return until the following day, late in the evening.
Vince, just as he did when bringing her the first time, simply shoved the door open and threw Zeda inside and pulled it back shut and drove off.
It seemed so cruel and violent, watching her lose her balance and her body plummet to the dirty concrete beneath her with a loud thud. The boys were again stunned and appalled by Vince's callousness.
They saw her for a few moments before she was cast down to the concrete, and she looked unlike the boys had ever seen her before. She had on tight jeans, high heels, her hair straightened, and had her makeup done.
She hit the floor roughly and groaned, Lucas of course rushing to her side.
"Zeda, are you okay?"
She nodded and Lucas helped her to sit up.
"What happened?" Johnny asked, scooting to sit with them in the center of the barn.
"The babe got even hotter." Chaz said.
Zeda cringed and had an angry look on her face.
"I got stitches." She said defensively, immediately taking the uncomfortable shoes off.
"How many?" Lucas asked.
"Eight."
Johnny winced. "Ouch. Are they all in your stomach?"
"Three in my leg, five in the stomach."
She lifted her shirt and showed the bandage she had.
"You are a badass." Johnny smirked and made her smile, too.

"Are you hungry?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah, I could eat."
Lucas went to grab the bag of food, which was a loaf of bread, and a bag of trail mix. While he was walking back, Winwin joined them.
"We were waiting until you got back to eat." He told Zeda.
She relayed everything that happened since she was taken away while they shared a few bites. Vince took her to the hospital where she was stuck overnight, alone. When he finally returned, he took her to get new clothes and forced her to doll herself up.
