To fill my free time and keep myself occupied, I got a job at a local pharmacy to start making some money.
After a month I finally got myself a new phone and could talk to the boys again.
I only got into contact with Johnny and Winwin, never Lucas.
They would send me a message once a week to check in, and they told me Lucas had been distant with them, too. But they told me not to worry, and I never pressed him about it.
When I first logged on, I simply sent him a friend request, and he accepted, so I sent him a message but never heard back.
I let him have his space, but it ultimately left me feeling all alone, which is what I feared would happen.
Winwin kept me updated on his endeavors.
A few days after they arrived back home, he linked up with Hua and arranged a date that ended up going great. After a few weeks he asked her to be his girlfriend, and she said yes of course. I could tell how happy he was from the way his demeanor changed and the photos he sent of them together, along with their dog.

I was so happy for him.
I spent my days working, and sulking around my house, wishing I could be that happy again.
Did he still love me? Does he want to be with me? Why wouldn't he at least tell me he was busy? ... Was I being dramatic? Overreacting?
I felt so empty, and I worried about him, too. How could he be okay through this, too?
I wasn't angry with him, but I felt such despair. I felt like I couldn't live without him.

Two months after I got the call from Lucas, Johnny texted me late one night.
After confirming I was awake, he invited me to their city to surprise Lucas.
I was thrown off guard and asked what the occasion was.
'Not sure, He just told us to dress fancy and bring a date. I thought it would be funny to bring you as mine. He's been acting weird lately. Maybe seeing you will re-ground him.' He said.

I agreed, but ended up venting to Johnny, telling him all my concerns.
He overall said he didn't know what was happening, but he assured me that if I showed up it would fix things and that Lucas and I's relationship could continue where it left off.
I got my tickets right away and was again struck with such a deep mix of feelings.
I wasn't even sure if he really wanted to be with me. Not talking to me for two months?
I still had the ring he gave me, still in its box, never opened. It's also never moved from its place on my nightstand. Often, I'd dream of the day he would call me and tell me he was still there. Still mine. That everything was okay. Just one text. That's all I would have needed.
My flight was a week later, which came quicker than I anticipated. I found myself packing the morning of my flight. I rushed out the door, saying goodbye to my parents and pets and headed to the airport.
