***********Lucas POV***********

The color of sapphire was always surrounding her. The color of her eyes.

The color of her aura.

The color of the water that I loved so much.

The sea was like my home. Where I felt at peace, and I felt like one with nature. I would stare out into its sapphire beauty for hours.

Until the day I saw something strange in the distance.

A raft.

The moment I saw her face I thought, she is an angel.

My sapphire angel.

And here she was, crying next to me.

It broke my heart but ... I didn't trust Vince ... and she let him into her room, instead of calling the police like she should have. It was shady. And the things Vince said ...

"Where's Zeda?" Vince asked.

My mind flashed back to when he had entered the room the detectives had sat us in.

"She has been notified and should be here any minute." A man said.

"So who are you again?" Vince asked the three of us.

I didn't even want to entertain him. Give him the time of day, but I felt obligated to be polite for some reason in this setting, surrounded by police.

"I'm Lucas. And this is Johnny and Winwin." I gestured to both of them.

He nodded. "So, you're her side thing?" He pointed to me.

"She is my girlfriend now." I told him bluntly.

"Really? Cuz that's not what she told me last night in her hotel room."

I said nothing and simply gave him a look that sent the message of 'Shut the hell up I'm not buying into your bullshit.'

"Don't wanna hear it huh?" He grew angry receiving no response. "Can't handle the truth?" He continued.

"I'm gonna have to ask you to shut up. I'm not gonna sit here and let you disrespect my friend." Johnny chimed in, leaning forward towards him.

"Like I'm afraid of you guys." Vince boasted.

He leaned forward also and directed his attention at me.

"She told me you've been worried about me." He smiled devilishly.

My stomach dropped and my eyes widened. How else could he have known that? I hadn't told anyone but Zeda.

Was it really true? My Zeda ... taking him back. I was so afraid of it happening. What if I caused it to happen by thinking about it, stressing over it.
