The same things were circulating inside Zeda's head too at that moment.

She was alone. In a dark place that was cold. Vince had brought her back to where she made the phone call to Johnny. He left her there alone for the night with absolutely nothing but the clothes on her back, and she was locked in with no escape.

She sat in the corner with her knees to her chest, trying to stay warm and stay calm, but was mentally breaking down, crying profusely.

She felt like she really was truly losing her mind.

"Are you an angel?" She heard in her mind, but also played the image like a movie, with the lack of light in the room she was in, leaving only darkness.

She saw his face peering down at her, holding her in his arms.

"No miss." Lucas laughed.

Zeda clutched her temples and tried to shake it off but had nothing to look at to take her eyes from the image her brain had shown before her in the dark room.

Flashes of memories.

"I must carry you."

Lucas's voice echoed in her ears, and she felt like he was really right next to her, speaking into her ear.

She envisioned his arms wrapped tightly around her.

"You are so precious." She now saw Johnny in the control room with her again, the look he gave her when he looked deeply into her eyes.

"Johnny ..." Zeda said aloud with a cry. "Please hurry." She sniffled.

The figures would appear, and then morph into another after they spoke.

"I went to ... a jeweler." She heard Lucas say, with his hood on his head in the rain. She could feel the droplets on her skin.

Her heart rate slowed, and she was bewildered, thinking this was it. She had lost it.
