After being casted to the sea, thrown off the cruise ship she was on by her own boyfriend, what Zeda thought was her biggest problem turns out to be only the beginning. She's rescued by a foreign man, Lucas, & his two friends Johnny & Winwin. Togeth...
Johnny was left with the smoke falling and ever so slowly clearing the room.
He sat with his back against the cold wall, his legs spread out.
He wasn't dizzy, or in any pain. His throat was irritated, but he was still awake. He realized this and got to his feet.
*C* "I'm okay?" He asked himself, looking at his hands that were now visible.
*C* "I'm okay." He repeated.
The smoke cleared enough for one of the guys to come into sight, and it was Winwin.
"Winwin!" He yelled and rushed over to him.
He was lying flat on the ground and had a small gash on his forehead that was bleeding. Johnny turned him on his back and checked his pulse, which was still there.
He got up and started whooshing the gas away with his arms to find his other friends.
He saw Chaz next, it appeared he was knocked out from the gas itself, not having any wounds from a fall. He also had a pulse and was still breathing normally. Afterwards Johnny confirmed Lucas was too.
He rushed to the door. *C* "What have you done to them?!" He yelled, his throat still burning. He didn't even know if there was anyone there to answer. He didn't care.
"English, please." Vince said, still standing on the other side of the door. "Are they all out?"
"What do you mean, 'out'? What the hell is wrong with you? What did you do to my friends?"
"It was just sleeping gas. But how the hell are you still up, dude? That was a huge canister."
Johnny just ignored his questions and started pounding on the door.
"What is wrong with you? We thought we were dying!" He screamed. "What did you do with Zeda?"
"I knew I should've gotten multiple canisters." Vince shook his head, angry at his mistake.
"I'm waking them up!" Johnny said and ceased his pounding.
"Not gonna work, kid." Vince laughed. "Now listen to me. Seriously." He hardened his tone. "Which one are you, anyway?"
Johnny calmed down for a minute and tried to catch his breath.
"Johnny." He said with a cough.
"First of all, I feel I should tell you I have a gun here with me." Vince began. "I'm gonna come in there, and if you try to fight me, sure, you might win. You're a well-built man but let me tell you." He paused. "If I win Johnny .... I'm going to kill you. All of you."
"And that's a promise." He added.
Johnny said nothing and backed away from the door. He was unsure of what to do.
Vince opened it slowly and came in with his arms full of metal chains and power tools.
Johnny gulped.
After the door was closed behind him, he dropped them on the floor and slowly grabbed his gun from his pants.
Johnny contemplated if he should fight. If he lost, they would all lose their lives. The lives they thought they had already lost. He felt like he was failing his friends. Letting them down.
Last time they were sent off alone to fight danger while he stayed behind in the ship, and now it was reversed roles and it was his turn to fight and .... he couldn't.
Vince put the gun back and started securing the chains onto Lucas first. Deep down, it was because that's who he was most afraid of.
After he had it fastened around Lucas's wrist, he began drilling the end of it into the floor.
Johnny was terrified and just watched in horror. He sat back down where he was before, when he was hearing his friends drop like flies.
Vince also took all the boys' phones, wallets, and anything they had with them, including Lucas's ring for Zeda.
"Aww, how sweet." He said sarcastically and put it into his pocket.
Eventually it was Johnny's turn to be chained, and Vince showed no emotion on his face while condemning him to the cold concrete floor.
"What really is wrong with you, man? You need help." Johnny told him.
"She's mine. And I'm tired of you all getting the way." He said blankly.
"She is not yours. And you're clearly with other women so why is she obligated to only be with you?" Johnny began to argue.
"She's mine." Vince said with a thick layer of hatred behind his voice and rushed through Johnny's set of chains.
"He doesn't deserve her either, I saw pictures of you guys at the bar." He said, drilling into the ground aggressively.
"That was not what it looked like; those women were acting like animals." Johnny defended his friend.
Vince laughed and gave him an unconvincing nod.
"I showed 'em to Zeda, too. She lost it." He chuckled, remembering having heard her pounding on the walls and crying when he was driving away.
"Well, we heard that you did far worse than that on that cruise ship." Johnny sassed.
"Excuse me?"
"You fucking heard me." Johnny threatened, imagining all the ways he could still attack him from his current position. But if he did anything, he had to make sure he won, and his window of time was closing.
After Vince finished, he started cleaning up his things.
"Where is she?" Johnny asked.
"She ran off this morning." He trailed off. "After I showed her the pictures."
"Ran away?" Johnny was baffled.
Was she stuck in the woods in the middle of nowhere?
"Broke the door down ...... left a mess." Vince continued, gesturing to the pool of blood.
Johnny's jaw dropped.
Vince was about to leave when Johnny asked, "Where are you going?"
"To look for her. She can't be far. Bitch lost a lot of blood."
Johnny felt sick. He couldn't tell Lucas this news. He had to find a way around it. It was too much.
The door closed and Johnny was left alone with his unconscious friends.
