A video started of Zeda and I in the pool. It started at the exact time that I was walking up to her and kissing her, our first night alone together. I was deeply confused.
Winwin turned away from the screen, while Vince's eyes were glued.
"When was this, Zeda? Your first night there?" He taunted her.
I clenched my fists. I imagined all the ways I wanted to destroy his smug face. Pounding it with my fists, slamming it onto the table, submerging it until he drowned, like he tried to do to Zeda.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Johnny asked. "You know it's not like that, Lucas. I only joke around. You know me." He defended himself.
I wasn't worried one bit about Johnny. He'd been my best friend for countless years, and knowing I'd never had a real girlfriend I was certain he wouldn't do anything to get in the way. My hand was around her throat, and then her thighs, I could see Vince begin to fume after his initial jokes.

The detective turned to the screen as I picked her up into my arms and carried her away.
